That's how many years I've been in this realm, as of last Wednesday. The first three decades went by slow. The pace picked up when I turned forty and I am not looking forward to the next ten years.

My dad and his dad died in their early sixties, so I'm guessing I have a decade left.

But....

I am currently in the hospital; tomorrow I'll have a biopsy done on a mass in my bladder that was discovered a few weeks ago while I was being scanned for gallstones while in here to have gall bladder removed.

I started pissing blood yesterday as soon as I woke, and the flow became obstructed. I've passed lots of blood clots the last umpteen hours.

Once, using the plastic handheld urinal, and afterwards it looked like my penis blew its head off, the blood splatter, along with clumps of clot, looked almost artful.

I'm trying to be as cheery and optimistic as I can be. The doctors have gone from "It could be cancer" to "Yeah it's probably cancer".

I've just started to get my life together and overcome many obstacles in my life. Every thing I own can fit in my pale yellow seventies Samsonite suitcase, with the exception of my dog.

Had plans to leave Ghetto Thugville, NC a SECOND time, this time NEVER coming back. Had plans to go live in the Yellowstone blast radius, enjoying the beautiful SD sunsets.

Don't know if I'll make it out of this welfare state or not. I'm drawing up a living Will, hopefully my ashes can be scattered off Topsail Island, where I once worked and lived. Or dumped at Blowing Rock, where I vacationed as a child.

Here's the purpose of this thread....

Stop it. Just stop.

Whatever is going to happen is going to happen, whether talking about politics, aliens, or God.

Get your head out of your asses and stop letting electronic gadgets and people control you.

You... are.... FREE.... act like it.

You wanna know what's so great about treading on ice? If you can swim.... it does not matter... "Learn to swim" says Maynard, and I like, uh, tow-tally agree. mlm

Anyway. Don't post sympathy as a reply, please tell me how you are going to unplug and leave the Enterweb altogether, because it is NOT a necessity.

It IS a necessity for the ones in control, from greedy politicians to power hungry moderators with little to no life. Walk away, nay, skip away.

You know what you have to do. We all do. We just don't want to do what is needed to maintain independence.

And life is too short to keep saying "Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow", because tomorrow never comes, there's only today.

Carpe Diem.

TMOM

I'll be 51 soon as well. You said no sympathies, so I won't reply with that. You could try the universal antidote though?
theuniversalantidote.com...

I have read lots of testimonies from people being cured from everything under the sun, including cancer.
My dentist told me to go seen an ENT specialist to have a polyp in my throat looked at. I haven't even bothered as live is not really worth it to me anymore. And the only thing making my life worthwhile right now is wasting time online, so be it.
Though I do agree with you about what you said about powerhungry 1%ers behind the web and all it's corruption over us.

Good luck at least.

I'll look into that. And thank you.

In a way, I feel like "resistance is futile". But I don't want to give up, I just want to sit in the passenger seat for a while, and get some much needed rest.

Yeah bugger
Turned my life around once, just tried caring about other people, so far so good
Past doesn’t change but, smile and laugh more often and louder

It’s the great escape clause, we plan for everything going well till it doesn’t.

God bless you. Think the best, thank God for today.

My songwriting late brother wrote a song called " "FORGET tomorrow...get thru today!"

I live by that everyday....you're still here today for some reason...realize that. All things come from God. Even illness....

Stay well. With my 50 yrs EMT...it could be nothing, or everything. It's your journey...and not because you're driving....but you're ridin' along.

Your optimism is encouraging. I'll pray for you. Keep up with us.

Best, MS

Hey good luck, I'm 51 next year.
I'm now the oldest living male in my family, and I'm still as childish as when I left home as a cocky 16yr old!🤣

If I can make it to 70, I'll become the male record holder for longevity in my family...3 years ago I stopped using ethanol completely, so fingers crossed I won't suffer the liver disease or drunken accidental deaths that met the males born before me.

Good luck with your health issues, I avoid doctors since the covid lies...but I'll be first in line at the emergency room if I'm ever pissing blood!😱

TMOM, keep your head up and always be ready for the right thing, the good thing, to happen.
Even if you get a single answer you don’t like, always push back with “what do we do to beat this ?” You’ll get an answer to that, and you can just put your heart and soul into it. We all need that thing that drives us, and this will be yours.
Keep saying FU ! I’m gonna win you SOB !
Also look at the threads here on ATS about non-traditional cures and treatments / lifestyle stuff. I’m planning on doing that, when I need to. Sounds like a nice experiment and challenge.
I woke up bright yellow one day, and was sure the liver / kidneys were gone. But it came back around to the gall bladder. Be ready for that.

Ya know, in almost every group/family/etc, there's the 'outlier', the exception...

Every male in my dad's family died young, including my little brother who only made it to 48. My dad turned 81 this year, and despite a couple health incidents over the years, is still going strong - takes a 5 mile walk several times a week, mows his own lawn...

So, no matter what your health is doing right now, just do the best you can to get it taken care of and make healthy food/exercise choices; and don't accept the 'belief' that your life might go the way your dad and granddad's did...you could very well be the "exception" in your family!

Just a couple of minutes ago, I was going to post a super scholarly and insightful reply on another sub-forum. Halfway through my extensive essay, my browser crashed. I tried again and my browser crashed.

I take it as an unmistakable sign that I should not meddle in beliefs of others.

If you are reading this now, that confirms that it's a good thing that the browser crashed.

Here's an update.

Had the surgery, so far so good.

A tumor and blood clots were removed, my urine looks clear. I'm still hazy. It's 5:37, came to in post-op about an hour and a half ago. Tray was just brought so I'm about to scarf down some actual pork and taters/carrots.

I'll be responding to comments soon, haven't read any yet.

Thanks for that. I definitely need words of encouragement.

I'm trying so hard to better myself, but there's been obstacle after obstacle popping for a few years now.

But the last two months have been unbelievable and I surprised myself by not flipping out yet.

Three weeks ago, while waiting in that tiny pre-op room waiting to head to surgery, I considered running....in my hospital gown, no drawers on, no shoes, hooked up to an I.V. and a monitoring system...because that is who I am, I'm a runner.

But no more. Couldn't even think about running today in a similar room, because of the catheter. And I already knew what to expect.

Thankfully there was no mishap like a few weeks ago.

No doubt, and I'm already trying to better my intake when it comes to food and beverages.

It's no secret processed foods in boxes, bags, and containers are basically poisonous. It's a slow kill, but then again, it seems sudden once you hit their target age to croak from "natural causes".

I refuse to give up, that is for sure.

Hope you had a great weekend, friend.

👍

I think caring about other people is the key to life.

We are meant to be there for one another. I firmly believe that.

Years ago I was misdiagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.

The first thing I did was apply for positions in Alaska.

Stay true.

If it’s any comfort, this isn’t even Life. Life is something you gain when leaving this world, provided you used your time here wisely. Until then, it’s a world of suffering.
