I know this footage is old but it's still one of the most compelling in my view. In regards to explanations that it's just particles, since when did particles change direction so quickly? At speed i might add.

I noticed something on that footage. If you look below the main object, there is another object travelling towards it. When we see the flash and consequently the streak it almost seems to come from the lower object itself. Could the lower object have been an 'SDI' satellite that shot off a beam? Could that have been a targetting satellite that 'painted' the target in order for the ground weapon to lock on?

Yes i rem this footage, didnt they try and explain it away as maybe some ice particles from the shuttle itself or some space junk left over previously, something like that anyway.
