Georgia state senator Colton Moore has authored a letter to Governor Brian Kemp wanting to convene an emergency "special session" regarding DA Fani Willis's recent actions. Note that the letter does not say impeachment, but from what I've read so far, this IS the first step toward that end...

It will be interesting to see what the governor does with this, but I'm reasonably sure he will not be signing off on a special session.

Maybe McCarthy should take notes on this. He certainly doesn't have the cahoney's to pull anything like this.

Kemp will do nothing. He doesn't care. He wants his Bush years good ol boys republican club back. Easier to please his corporate donors that way.

A very ballsy move by Senator Moore but the language in the Letter is very vague and up for many interpretations .

Read the second source. He stated his intentions...

“We must strip all funding and, if appropriate, impeach Fani Willis,” Moore said in a statement.

That would be nice and all…but these politicians have gotten away with far too much already. All of them who have participated in this conspiracy against a president from Reps and Senators to media personalities, will only ever learn if they get the sentence of a traitor. They need to be marched to Capitol Hill on Tv, given ten seconds for last words, and…

Can anyone here from GA tell what the general mood of the state government is in? Is it majority Republican? If so, are those Republicans status quo, or do they realize what most of us do? I know in my state, Missouri, very few of them are willing to put up with this garbage anymore and they prove it via their legislation.

Literally no one outside the city limits of Atlanta rocks with Biden. NO ONE.

I live in west midtown.

So then I would assume that this senators letter does actually carry some weight? I know Atlanta is much larger than Saint Louis, but it is not larger than Kansas City and Saint Louis combined, so luckily, somehow my state has managed to reign in the socialist/marxist of our inner cities. It mainly began when the suburbs stopped voting Democrat. Is Georgia on the same path? Or is Georgia already there, based on this dilema it doesn't seem like it.

GA is very much a Red state outside the major city areas. I've seen people wearing let's go brandon shirts. People with signs on their lawns that say F Biden. That should tell you something.

However I think this sets a bad precedent. Lawmakers should not involve themselves with active trials. Now it seems like this is an unabashed ploy to get the trial stopped before it can begin. If they want to impeach her. Do it after the trial and show why.

The bad precedent argument has sailed, long gone now.

This is actually proper. Its how co-equal branches of government are supposed to work. The checks to the balance.

I agree with you but not only what you say, but also becausethis indictment is REE-DIC-YOU-LUS! I mean they have multiple counts for items that happened in other states. I guess they think that proves RICO? They have brought in so many other defendants that it just makes no sense at all. Oh, because they guess it proves RICO? RICO was not created for this kind of thing. It's border line "special" if you catch my drift. Any jury that finds any of these counts meaningful is either being paid to do so or is so incredibly biased that I just do not know what to say. There is absolutely no way this gets out of the court any quicker than at least one year. Its a complete show trial. It would make Josef Stalin proud.

Willis' last RICO case ended with 35 of the 36 defendants being convicted. I think she know a bit more about constructing a RICO case than some random guy on the internet.
