A federal judge revoked bail for FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried Friday during a bond hearing.
There is probable cause to believe that the defendant has attempted to tamper with witnesses at least twice, US District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan said.
Kaplan said Friday that a gag order would not be sufficient given Bankman-Fried’s repeated toeing of the line.
Bankman-Fried was remanded, at least temporarily, to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, while the parties sort out details of how he will review discovery materials ahead of a trial scheduled for October.
A former warden at the jail, called the Metropolitan Detention Center, told the New York Times in 2019 that it “was one of the most troubled, if not the most troubled facility in the Bureau of Prisons.”

I really hope they go after celebrities who endorsed FTX. And I hope this starts a trend of cracking down on all these scams by famous people. I don't see how people like Logan Paul can just get away with scamming people millions and using celebritiy endorsements to legitimize their scam.
Everyone who endorses or pushes a scam should face jail time. There is just so much people being scammed today because there is so little reprocussions for getting caught.
Having said all that, I don't think white-collar criminals should be lumped in with violent criminals if thats happening..

Funny how the same folks applauding this are making excuse after excuse for Trump and try to argue a gag order on Trump posting threats and slams on social media while he awaits trial violates his 1st Amendment despite it being common in cases where witness intimidation is a serious concern.
SBF believed he was above the law and now is beginning to pay for his crimes. I woukd be amazed if he gets less than 20 years, especially now that he violated terms of his release.
