Who the annunaki are not!

This video should answer your questions on Annunaki. This guy is a theologian for decades, is very briliant and covers all sorts of issues about the bene Elohim, or gods in the bible - yes, that is right, there are gods in the bible, but they are created by the one true God, therefore they are not omnipotent, all knowing, beginning and end, etc. It says very explicitely all these attributes we attribute to the one true God, are only given to Yahweh, never ever to any of these "gods", which btw, after the fall of babel, God divided up the territories amongst these gods, and because they didn't rule it properly, without justice etc, and giving them more ways for sin and depravity to increase through technology, drugs, and other "civilisation building" things those with wisdom see as very bad and evil acts of the bene elohim. They also messed with genetics, being at enmity between the seed of man and of the serpent .Does this sound familiar with the ets??

When Jesus died at the crossed, he fulfilled many things, beside our salvation and fulfilling the law by being sinless, for one, he defeated Satan, and now he has no claim on those who believe. Meaning, he can no longer claim sinful man in hades as his because they sin, because Jesus paid for the sin righteously and judiciously. Therefore curse of sin whose payment is death , under satans control, no longer abide on humans who believe. Also, it undid the dividing of territories amongst the gods at the fall of babel. Jesus has taken back full dominion of all territories through His part He allotted to Himself at the fall of babel, Israel, who he made into a nation of priests, who out from it came the messiah, who cured the fall of adam, took back the nations unto himself, and defeated satan once and for all, and also became the high priest of God in heaven on our behalf, advocating for us to the Father, and also became the judge of man at the end of days, among many other things, for one, the king of kings who unequivably earned the right to rule mankind by dying for us, by being God, humbling himself to become human, letting go of His divine perogatives in the process, now we have a completely righteous king who is also God, who created us Himself through His son, Jesus. All history, time and space, everything is His story, and we are part of it. He is everything, He is the hero. It's all for his namesake and glory.

As I mentioned, the Annunanki, lower case g gods and also the tower of babel, directly deal with these gods, lower case g.

Because the flood happened, it is part of history, therefore, there should be a world wide story about it, and there is!

Just because you write about the flood, does not mean you have dibs on it.

The bible also mentions this as well, saying, in those early days, people first began to call upon the name of the Lord, meaning there was a time after adam and eve where humans did not know the name of the Lord, or call on it, perhaps because it was forgotten or after a time, God stopped interacting with his fallen creation as part of a larger plan of redemption.

The biggest issues I have with this thread and your previous discussions seems to me to be that you are not defining at all what you mean by corruption of ancient religious texts.

Because the sumerians wrote about the flood and babel, before moses did, does NOT mean the scriptures are corrupted! Not at all.

If that is your only gripe with scripture, you are lucky, because that is very easy to resolve, yet, somehow, I would be extremely amazed if presented a convincing argument on this topic, if it would sway you one way or the other.

A hardened heart or a veil before the eyes can only be removed by God, which I pray for all who see the Gospel as something foolish, for we who believe, it is the very power of God unto salvation.

I would like to lay on the table a counter argument to the one you mentioned.

I will address the issue of corruption of the texts (which seems to be your biggest concern to not believe).

In return, I'd like you to address prophecy and not skirt around it (which is my biggest evidence why one should believe).

How do you cope with the fact that hundreds of prophecies have come true in the bible - even the rebirth of Israel thousands of years later was prophesized (no nation was reborn like this and for future prophecies of Christ return, Israel must exist?

Also, to use the rational mind, statistically speaking for all 400-574 prophesies that Jesus fulfilled, what is the probability this would happen.

The answer, if only 50 prophesies came true, it would be greater than the number of electrons in the universe and he fulfilled nearly 10 times that amount (the number of perfection btw).

In another calculation, the professor used 48 prophecies (even though he could have used Edersheim’s 456), and arrived at the extremely conservative estimate that the probability of 48 prophecies being fulfilled in one person is the incredible number 10^157. How large is 10^157? 10^157 contains 157 zeros!

The professor gives an illustration of this number using electrons. Electrons are very small objects. They’re smaller than atoms. It would take 2.5 TIMES 10^15 of them, laid side by side, to make one inch. Even if we counted 250 of these electrons each minute, and counted day and night, it would still take 19 million years just to count a line of electrons one inch long. With this introduction, let’s go back to our chance of one in 10^157. Let’s suppose that we’re taking this number of electrons, marking one, and thoroughly stirring it into the whole mass, then blindfolding a man and letting him try to find the right one. What chance has he of finding the right one? What kind of a pile will this number of electrons make? They make an inconceivably large volume.

Source empower.global...

All prophecies that prophesize his coming were fulfilled. What is more encouraging, is the fact there there are even more prophesies about His return than there are about His first coming. Yes, there are more prophesies about the end of days/ judgement day than about His first coming. If the other prophesies came true, and you cede the fact, how rational is it to not believe the other prophesies won't come true.

Lol, now why am I going to watch your video, when you can't even watch Paul Wallis's video? Because if you had, you wouldn't be making those remarks. The wall of kings pretty much sums it up, dude. I am not going to spoon feed it any more to you, as there is apparently a blockage somewhere. But this is pretty much what I expected. *yawn*.

Believe what you will. Me, I am going with what makes a whole lot more sense. TO ME.

You talking to me?
Come on man. You sound like those Christian’s at Answers in Genesis tickling each other in their little bubble.

Your not going to get saved or anything by watching it.

Look I’m a Christian, I’m here in these “evil secular” threads exploring and learning from everyone here.
I’m not attached to Ken Hams @$$ or even this Dr. Heiser. It’s just good sense to have a well rounded understanding of something like this even if it feels uncomfortable.

If you weren’t talking to me…… ha… anyway

I did watch the video. It mentions sumerians, how they share a similar stories to the bible. Did I miss something?

Here is the entire transcript of the video you linked. How is my short little summary missing anything?

nearly 6 000
2:06
years ago were in all probability the
2:09
source of all those familiar biblical
2:11

2:12
now that was a problem in the 1890s
2:15
because if you think about it
2:16
the church was still reading from the

to shore up the ship so the idea that
2:31
the bible
2:32
might actually be based on somebody
2:34
else's stories
2:36
was a bit of an embarrassment it
2:38
shouldn't have been because
2:39
judaism and christianity both find their
2:42
roots
2:43
in the story of a sumerian family
2:46
the family of abraham and sarah
2:50
abraham and sarah grew up and spent the
2:52
best part of their lives in ur of the
2:54

2:55
a sumerian culture and so when they
2:58
emigrated from there it's hardly
3:01
surprising that they would carry with
3:03
them
3:04
all the stories of beginnings that they
3:06
had grown up with
3:08
and so them into the foundations of what
3:11
was to become
3:12
their culture their religion and their
3:15
bible
3:16
and so it shouldn't be a surprise that
3:18
in the bible we have a
3:20
summary version of all these stories
3:23
that pepper
3:24
the sumerian babylonian and assyrian
3:27
texts
3:28
the problem and the shock horror is that
3:31
the original versions the sumerian
3:33
versions of these stories
3:35
make no mention of god at all
3:38
in the sumerian originals these are
3:41
stories of our ancestors
3:43
contact with another species
3:46
a species called the anunnaki
3:50

So certain people around here keep contesting and accusing me of making up nonsense about ancient texts being twisted and molded essentially into the more modern day versions of the Bible. Now folks, ima tell yas: I don't often post links anymore because frankly, I read a lot of wide, varied, and interesting things all over, and I just can't remember it all. It is how I bring many of these topics to ATS. Yeah, you could call me somewhat of a search freak of nature. I go, I look at things, and delve in just deep enough to gain a superficial understanding of the material presented. I bring what I feel to be the most interesting here to ATS, and let the comments sort it out.

For those so long time invested emotionally in their Gods, shocking truths will often be discarded in favor of the running narrative. Maybe just because it's easier? Maybe because they cannot shed lifelong beliefs? Or maybe, because they have a vested, monetary interest somehow in perpetuating these things? I sure as heck don't know. And don't care really, to be frank. What you believe is up to you.

Now people like this here at ATS tend to be quite vocal about things when their core belief structure comes under attack in any way, shape or form- and ESPECIALLY when it comes from someone who does not share those beliefs. Like me, for example.

So because these people consistently come into my threads to shove their Bibles in my face, I finally found a key video that I was searching for, and had seen, which impacted me greatly. And you know what the irony of this is? THAT IT CAME FROM A 30-YEAR BIBLE SCHOLAR WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE THAN ANY OF THESE BIBLE THUMPING MEMBERS THAT CONSISTENTLY ATTACK ME.

So don't shoot the messenger. Because if you shoot the messenger in this video, you'd be shooting one of your very own. And considering a Bible scholar would not likely bear false witness, then perhaps all you TA-hunting assassins had better watch this for yourselves. And so here is the video link I will reference you to from now on:

Watch it, and then take it up with him. He did the research, not me. But I find it more credible than anything in your Bible or Koran. And in light of the recent testimonies of Grusch, et. al., all the more reason this research rings SO TRUE.
I found the triune God through Egypt. Jesus starts in Egypt or the Ram to the Sheep conversion allegory .
There is imo a God/Spirit/Creator that can’t be found in books , but the wisdom of the Ancient of Days can be found in bits scattered amongst many earthly books imo.
It’s about Love & Light
Seek a beam of intent and try crossing the void .

Both True American and Psycho Trail.

You have hundreds of prophesies coming true over thousands of years in the bible, and no other place is this found.

How is this not sufficient proof for you to consider God has already shared His Word with us??

True American, you brought up a subject. I addressed and brought up prophecy. If you want to debate, please address the issue I brought up and I'll be happy to now go back to look at more evidence concerning your claims.

In fact, I'm not sure what your claims are. You are just leaving videos to watch.

Also, I know my video is longer, but if you are truly curious, you might want to watch it - atleast go the chapters, summary, and conclusion.

Did you watch it? lol

This is an argument I try to stay out of these days, because everyone has the right to believe as they will. They don't need to consult anyone else for permission, but I will say this much...

You will find that trying to use prophecy as evidence will fall on deaf ears among non-believers, especially atheists and ex-Christians. Most, if not all, see biblical prophecy as ambiguous at best and self-fulfilling at worst. Others will go even further and tell you that not one prophecy of the bible has ever been legitimately fulfilled.

Not a dig on you or anyone else. Just a heads up.

I really like Paul Wallis's works. I like his tone, I like his thought processes, and I like his material. It is very well researched. It makes so much more sense to me than any of this other crap.

So yeah, I go down his path. I am just really not interested in blindly following some book, when that very book is just a twisted version of previous stories. He spells all this out quite nicely. And clearly.

I highly advise people look into his channel and his works. I've really got not much more to say.

I read a couple of his books and liked some of his ideas. Though personally, I don’t buy the AA stuff...

I appreciate his scholarship in explaining the challenge of interpreting scriptures from ancient oriental languages to English which is prone to vast error and confirmation-biased interpretations based on clerical dogma, not the true meaning of the scripture in their original form.

I think his problem is he has become too reductionist...replacing one dogma for another rather than accepting the two truths idea or multi-level truths. Scripture enumerates seven levels of reality, not one... so all of the dogmas have degrees of truth but not all of the truth.

It's like the parable of the Elephant in the Dark...link

As for the religions in general, as they are, they are basically, IMO, clerical institutions having little to do with the original founder's teachings of holistic universal truths rather than sectarian dogma from little men with small minds.

Well particularly compelling to me is his wrap up of the whole thing, where he explains that all this translation error and misinterpretation of these ancient texts has left mankind with a supposed God who is all empowered, vindictive, behaves like a drunk, and can kill at will for the most minor offense. And he points out that THIS perception of God has been extremely powerful throughout recent history to basically religiously enslave most of humanity, through sheer fear.

The dude is a genius, in my opinion, both for his intense research, and his resulting analysis.

And by the way folks, I think I may have screwed up the OP and given you guys the wrong video. The videos I really meant to show you were the two I just posted above. Sorry bout that, but basically I have been into too much information overload as of late. Can't keep it all straight anymore.

True American, I am great full for this thread. Thank you.

I have long wondered why no one questioned the old testament. At the moment I can't articulate all my questions as well as the inconsistencies.
I will say that I think humankind has more power than we know but it has been suppressed. There is a place in the new testament where, after Jesus performs a miracle?, jesus says, "you can do all this and more".

Have more I could say and many more questions but will stop now.

Indeed, and I don't believe that is Paul's intention.

Trinity is what I believe God meant when he said, in His image.

Mind, Body, Spirit and Father/Son/Holy Ghost

Other beings could have been made in this IMAGE as well.

Noting in the Bible says that we are the only creation of God.

Most who hold opinos like this do so out of a lack of knowledge, bias
and a closed mind. And they are entitle to that as well. But thru any
study at all with an open mind. One couldn't possibly make such a
conclusion.

You have no clue what you're missing.
