In context of the latest testimonies of Grusch, et. al., I have been going back and rethinking some of the things we have seen around here, and other places, with a bit more of a fresh perspective- and giving some of these reports more of a chance. One such film/doc is what Disney put out in 1995, as part of their exhibit-

The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter (often abbreviated Alien Encounter) was a "theater-in-the-round" attraction located in the Tomorrowland section of the Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. A co-production between Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm (then separate from The Walt Disney Company), the attraction was a darkly humorous science fiction experience that used binaural sound to achieve many of its effects.

After years of declining popularity and increasing complaints from park guests, Disney announced on September 21, 2003 that a new Lilo & Stitch themed attraction would be replacing it.[2] On October 12, ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was closed to the public to start production on Stitch's Great Escape!.

Now the thing is with this, as I watch it again so many years later (I had literally totally forgotten about this)- is the staggering truth being laid out so matter-of-factly... DESPITE the "fact" that it was supposedly, FICTION. I mean seriously- check this out if you have not seen it. And you might not have seen it, as it only played supposedly at places where this exhibit was installed. But just.... damn.

Alien Encounters from New Tomorrowland”, was officially produced to promote Disneyworld’s ‘ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter’ ride.

Now some UFO researchers did believe there was government collusion and this was originally a stepping stone to disclosure of the alien presence in the mid-90s.

The Disney attraction featured in just a few minutes of promotion at the end of this 40 minute film. With the bulk of it referring to the existence of alien life visiting the Earth, government cover-ups and the ubiquitous mention of Roswell. The holy grail of American ufology. The narrator even goes as far as revealing that microbial life has been found in a meteor, a whole year, before President Clinton announced it publicly!

Ultimately that was a false alarm. But gave a taste of what disclosure on a small scale would look like.

The Disney narration went much further.

“This is an actual spacecraft from another world. Piloted by alien intelligence”

“As early as 1947, large alien ships began to arrive”

“A government cover –up was immediately initiated with a disinformation campaign”

“For nearly fifty years, officials have been documenting routine alien encounters here on earth”

"More than one alien craft crashed and was recovered for secret U.S. military research. The most famous case took place in July of 1947 just outside the community of Roswell, New Mexico"

"Indications are that government, military and scientific leaders will soon release nearly a half-century of official documentation of ongoing alien encounters on earth."

“Riding inside a stone cocoon of a meteor, life can travel virtually anywhere, and a good deal of it lands on planet earth”.

The movie was distributed with no advance notice and given a restricted one off showing in just a few areas in the middle of the afternoon. Which made UFOlogists ponder whether there may be something more to the project?

In 2011 after the video was published on Youtube, the now deceased Robbie Graham, interviewed the writer of the documentary, Andrew Thomas. Thomas had a background in reality shows like Cops and also worked as head of special marketing on Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. He told Graham that Disney had wanted a TV special about the history of UFO sightings, with the last five minutes focusing on the ride. The TV special was to be "seeded” into independent television stations across the country. Thomas claims that he wrote the script over a few hours with no government intervention. His only source material being document archives. Even the meteorite story came from NASA information available on the internet.

However, Andrew Thomas did find it strange that Michael Eisner, the CEO of Disney at the time, personally filmed an introduction and vetted large parts of the documentary. This is despite the fact that he had considered it a minor marketing project. The film was shown just once and broadcast between 2pm and 3pm in the afternoon when hardly anyone was watching.

Make of that what you will.

Such a fun watch, 20 years ago and it sounds more on point than the ramblings of today's media.

I find his last sentence especially interesting, as I don't trust them at all...

What's wrong with fungus?

Those are some interesting background Infos, that confirm Disney to be deep in the the loop...

His closing statement really sums it up well, and it seems we aren't any wiser now...

There is a non material aspect.
there is one with nuts and bolts coming from above and BELOW.
And there is the looming question about our own position on the evolutionary scale...

I never dug why they ended that ride. It was quite enjoyable, though possibly a bit too realistic for many.

You entered a room in which a huge glass cylinder was set, with rows of "flight chairs" around it. You were sat and then you were firmly restricted in that chair using a overhead restraint that came down and firmly pushed you in the chair. I can't remember all details anymore (it was in 1996..) but I believe you also had to wear belts. The idea was that you would wittness a teleportation (of humans) that would be teleported from some remote planet back to earth. But then a powerout occured and somehow they got things mixed up and they teleported .. well.. nobody knows what. Some gruesome entity. The powerout also caused a blackout - so you could not see anything for a while - and there you were, locked in a room, totally restrained, facing a cylinder that contained .. the most terrible thing you ever saw. You only saw it briefly, as the lights flashed back on and off again. Then ... the cylinder shattered, leaving the monster free to grab you if it wanted. Which it did! You heard the sobs, deathcries and wild panic everywhere as the monster roamed the premises .. passing you then approaching you ..

I heard that some folks with weaker hearts did not survive the ride, being the reason they had to shut it down..
