Did you know the word “Night” means no + eight, in every language. Now ask yourself, “why?”

So far, Armstrong’s argument makes more sense than yours I’m afraid. I see nothing in your reply that refutes his theory about the number eight being mentioned/used in practically every language’s word for “Night”. Maybe your “glance” wasn’t enough.

Not to toot my own horn, but I speak 6 languages (dutch, english, german, french, spanish and surinam), 4 of which flawless, hence my interest in languages in general, that doesn’t make me an expert, but it gives me a bit more affinity with languages. To me they’re more than just similarities. Besides, so far, I haven’t seen any argument or evidence, from anyone here, that categorically disproves Armstrong’s claim. Or at least a counter argument that makes more sense than his claim.

Just because it’s fringe science, at least in the eyes of most, doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talking about @ thunderboltsproject, in fact, they make more sense than others in this field. I’ve watched many of their video’s, and many of those hold more ground than most of you realize. I am confident however, that (not even that many) years from now, many of their theories and claims will become common public knowledge. Despite what main stream science currently says.

It’s a fun video , but far from convincing me so much that I create a OPed stating it as fact .
It’s just another Youtube video claiming speculation bound in conjecture just like millions of other videos flying around the net.
Why don’t you breakdown YOUR take on the video , thats how discourse works otherwise ATS is just a show & no tell .

It’s possible, I don’t have the answer to that because Hebrew is somewhat of a mystery to me, so I couldn’t tell if you’re overlooking something. Not now anyway. Perhaps my op title should indeed have said “many” in stead of “all”, but that doesn’t discount for the many languages that actually do have the no+8 phenomena (see listing in video starting @ 5:26 min). One or two could be considered a coincidence, more than 4 could be considered a (reoccurring) pattern.

eight pointed stor

Thats ishstar.. thunderbolts peddles an agenda.. and the eight refers to the lions gate and star of the dead.. Which is today the lions gate. 08/08//when the veil between this world and the next is thin.. The heleical rising of the dog star with the sun. nothing what so ever to do with saturn. They try and through you off the scent..

88 minutes

88mph in back to the future..

Cabin in the woods...

Worlds collide with worlds..

Well that solves everything. There are many records of what the ancients called the visible planets . There may have been a Golden Era when Saturn shined on it’s own ( failed sun ) but it is more allegory than true .

Maybe Will was just reminding us that a sextant is more accurate than an octant for night sights. The GP had eight sides but is known more for its latitude accuracy by the rocking horse people. Back to the future required the ability to factor so you could get both 38 and 57. Also might have been just the 88 keys on the piano if they could decide whether it came from Scotland or Spain..

Dude did share his thoughts.

Maybe not a lengthy analysis but you know what?

This OP is still has more meat than many others.

Three paragraphs as opposed to three sentences?

Give the guy a break. Go post that in threads that are more deserving.

Not a linguist then. I'm not either so this is mostly right..I think Greek, Latin, and German all share lineage.

Like equinox literally means "equal night". There is still comparison with the shared roots in Latin and German of words we use.

Here's 5 indo-european languages; Latin, English, Spanish, German, French.

No, no, no, nein, non

Octo, Eight, ocho, acht, huit

Nocti, night, noche, nacht, nuit

It works... They all work as compound words. But all have phonetic similarities, even "hu-weet" in French..

But what about Mandarin (written phonetically in pinyin). Night = Yèwăn, No = Bù, Eight = Bā.

Works only in languages with indo-european roots. Particularly those that use the Greek alphabet. Gets harder to notice with the Cyrillic script indo-european languages, like Russian, but no is still a word starting with an "N" sound.

This is how language families are traced.

No mystery, or specific significance to the number eight, or any celestial reasoning, the languages compared are all indo-european. Words changed but common words not enough to deviate much from each-other.

Now, a little night music:

The word “Night” actually is a combination of the words “no” and “eight”

I see you've edited your OP to remove the claim that this is true in every language. Good move, because it isn't.

For instance, 'night' in Mandarin is yewan and 'eight' in Mandarin is 'ba'. In Tamil, the words are, respectively, iravu and ettu. And just to make things even harder, 'twenty' in Tamil is irapatu.

Well I teach astronomy. Saturn mars and Venus are so far apart from each other that they would never, ever, ever, ever ever ever ever, discharge plasma across to each other. And what about the planets Jupiter and earth that are in the way of these plasma discharges.

Dude, the OP added more in an edit.
It's definitely a decent read now, and I've saved any time wasted watching the YouTube...coz the added description was exactly what was originally missing!

...makes me now look like a prick to anyone new to the thread though, maybe the OP will confirm their later addition, but it matters not, I no longer need to watch the YouTube guy's movie now, the OP found words to describe it!🤣
edit on 9-8-2023 by AdultMaleHuman73 because: Assumed OP's gender, replaced with neutral language!😂

I speak Polish.

no-nie
eight-osiem

night-noc

For the theory to be accurate it would have to be nos instead of noc for night, but nos already means nose in Polish so who knows.
Started writing to debunk it, and now I kind of see it there
