That's the point. The government is special because they are friends with aliens and you can't even handle that knowledge. That's why you need the government to help you live your life. And if things ever don't work out with your relationship to your government, it's probably because of the aliens, or inter-dimensionals.

1. God
2. gods
3. Friends with or directly connected to God or gods

I think we can deal with alien disclosure fine, maybe there is something else that they're not revealing that humanity isn't ready for. If world governments wanted to be part of a galatic federation in order to get infinite energy and other goodies that will reverse climate change damage, they might ask as a requirement that we all be chipped with their alien tech (mark of the beast anyone?). Anyone refusing would be punished/killed? If this advanced implant tech transmits our thoughts to the higher ups then humanity will definitely not be ready for that!!

Unfortunately, brain computer interfacing technology has been in development for decades, even remote methods (no implant needed). AI is now capable of making better sense of people's brain waves, as well as help develop the technology. There's numerous threads on ATS about the subject and several very interesting videos and video lectures out there on this subject.

So allow me to correct your statement:

Nope, and even less so if this technology is believed to be controlled by aliens or inter-dimensionals, which kind of seems to be the agenda.

Oh, and on a side note, our phones and other electronics are capable of collecting so much data from us, that combined with predictive programming, they (governments and corporations) are already reading people's minds to a certain degree, but there's always room for improvement.

I think we as a people could handle disclosure just fine.

And then we can be introduced to these friendly aliens, take rides on their spaceships, visit their newly re-designed worlds that have been made habitable for humans to visit.

They'll even show us their hospitality manual, "How to Serve Man".

Although, no one will 'show' us aliens. Aliens (or visitors as I call them) would keep 'showing' themselves just as before and all along.

I think humans are blind. Worrying about aliens and ETs, and we've created our own self-destruction by our vaunted science.

And where worrying about ETs...Not dealing with the reality, we are near self-destruction through WMDs and environmental catastrophes.

Talking utter foolishness about colonizing Mars while children still starve to death on our planet and trillions of dollars are spent on our own doom devices, while none of the politicians on the planet are trying to change this condition, and the only one that tried was assassinated.

Likely that has everything to do with these ufos, but humans rarely look inward, so we miss the point.

So many documented ufo sightings near nuke areas and technological places, and even water may be these ufos trying to imply something to us we're not paying attention to.

We ogle up to the skies and don't look inward at our hearts may spell doom for the human species...

And we wonder why UFOs are flooding our skies!

There are psychological implications to believing that we are no longer the most intelligent species on Earth.

There are psychological implications to blind belief, which is why verifying evidence is so critical.

There's a possibility that getting people to blindly accept inferiority, could be a set-up for worse to come.

After the first sentence, the rest of my post was really more tongue-in-cheek.

It was a reference to an old Twilight Zone episode where aliens come to earth and offer us all this stuff and one guy gets a hold of their book, "To Serve Man" and it turns out to be a cook book.

and I generally agree, for most people it will be just another day and just a confirmation of something they already knew. I am sure for some it will be traumatic.

I mean, after all, I remember after the movie Avatar that people were going to therapy because we can't live on Pandora.

I think people are downplaying this too much. Should Alien spaceships start to come over world capital cities like Independence Day, I doubt people will continue on like nothings happening and not bother to speak to their friends or family about what’s going on. Perhaps that an over the top example but even should it be announced by a world leader that Aliens exist and have been in contact with Humans, It’s such a big world changing event. It’s not going to be like ‘Well so what who cares?’. It’s going to be huge!

i imagine that in this scenario we'd be looking at some sort of Star Trek style prime directive business, ie they would "respect" the way our primitive culture runs by talking to the heads of government rather than random earthlings, and it might in fact be that this power structure could not survive disclosure, leading to who knows what sort of unrest. Maybe they deem that an unnecessary level of interference.

Which I highly doubt, I saw upfront.
They would have to know the ambiguity of the situation and their technological advantage would practically guarantee a very bad situation.
We would fear them because they could crush us easily if they turned out to be hostile.
Something, let's be honest, you can never be completely sure of.

And that fear would bear bitter fruit.

"The Galactic Federation" seems to be an across the board commonality of these high ranking people coming forward to talk about Earth's dealings with aliens. Sometimes specifying the reptilian ones come from near Alpha Draconis. There were also Zeta Reticulans and I can't remember the other ones. They all hate nuclear weapons apparently. It was an alleged Canadian military person who went on an expose alternative media tour saying all that.

They also like our olympics. And when we don't fight over stupid crap. No time for our petty squabbles. Always found that scenario humorous. Never could believe it though.

But supposing there is a Galactic federation. I have to agree Earth isn't ready. I mean if The UN, NATO, and The G7 are grounds for total paranoia and fear, I can't imagine what the Galactic version of that would do.

After all, multiple lines of credible evidence, all pointing to the same thing, is standard operating procedure for a truth to be accepted by the most skeptical of the skeptical.
