A Republican, Biggs was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011 and a member of the Arizona Senate from 2011 to 2017. He was president of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, he was elected to Congress. In September 2019, Biggs became chairman of the Freedom Caucus, which includes the House Republican Conference's most conservative members.

But Republican Representative Andy Biggs, who has co-sponsored legislation to impeach Biden, said Archer's testimony implicated the president and quoted the witness as saying Burisma could not have survived without the "Biden brand."

"Archer talked about the 'big guy' and how Hunter Biden always said, 'We need to talk to my guy,'" Biggs told reporters. "I think we should do an impeachment inquiry."

The request came over the weekend before Archer was scheduled to testify to the committee Monday on the Biden family, Hunter's business dealings and the alleged role of his father, President Biden, in securing these deals.

Reps. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.; Mike Johnson, R-La.; Chip Roy, R-Texas; Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo.; and Dan Bishop, R-N.C., each said on social media Sunday that lawmakers should return to Washington, D.C. for an emergency hearing to discuss potential DOJ interference in the committee's investigation into President Biden and Hunter Biden.

"The DOJ is now actively committing the crime of obstructing a congressional investigation," Gaetz wrote. "If Devon Archer isn't in the witness chair Monday, we better haul every SOB at the DOJ before congress EVERY DAY to make them pay for this."

Biden's DOJ asked that Archer surrender to the DOJ before his testimony today. And I'm sure this simple formality (formulated on a Saturday, which the federal DOJ is known for drafting it's big papers on Saturdays) but likely would have ended with a horrible accident with both Archer's life, and the DVR footage of his movements.

I've said they aren't even tryin to hide it anymore, but this is a bit over the top. I assume this is the last snarl and growl of the cornered animal just before he goes in the cage. How many will be implicated in all this? If/When Joe goes down, the FBI and DOJ leadership should be right there with him, if they are not, then this all just continues under different leadership. (or perhaps not, depending on how involved you believe Joe to really be)

I am still confused as to why nobody seems interested in Bobulinsky's story, it was remarkable similar to what Archer has said and likely will say. But whatever it takes to get the truth out I suppose. I have said and continue to believe, the reason more R's aren't screeching loudly over this, is they all do it to some degree. I think the best thing that could come from this is Biden screaming the names of all others on the take, as he is carted out on a rail. I know, fat chance. But a guy can dream.
