Ok, for the past few days or so I've been getting an Inexplicable urge to go outside. Like there's either something waiting for me or I'm supposed to find something. Every time I look outside, there's a feeling of "It's right there, go". It's just a strange feeling. Went outside with my brother for a quick drive and I felt the urge to just get out and start walking like I'll happen across whatever it may be.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but the urge is so strong that I had to fight myself all last night to remain indoors. Plus, nothing good can come from me wondering about outside at 4am!

Anyone experience anything similar? I'm not the outdoorsy type. I prefer inside to outside unless I'm on a motorcycle.

I get that urge but it's because I'm indoors too much and long for a hike in the mountains or so. I'm at home way too much .
But I think in your case it sounds like something else. I've heard that aliens do this sometimes to lure the ones they abduct.
Not that I believe any of that, sortof 50/50 .

We belong outside. The sun can hurt us, but it makes us healthy. The open air refreshes us.

Nothing inherently bad will come from being outside at 4am. A great many working folks are up and out the door by 4 am.

Perhaps your urge had more to do with being human than anything.

Often times I'm drawn outside to pray and fellowship God under his stars. They fill me with a sense of deep gratitude and wonder. It's humbling to know that he knows them all by name.

You can ask angels to come worship with you, casting away darkness and bringing light and peace to you. Just as long as they're there in the spirit of the Living God Jesus Christ, ask them to worship with you, and you'll see some amazing things - I can promise that...

You may be being called to worship. If the longing is deep and heartfelt. Pull up a chair under the canopy of heaven and talk to your father.

I would ignore any urge to go outside at 4:00am. Don’t get lured into something you don’t want to!

Don't go outside!

The sun is missing.

Never thought about that, may be something I'll have to give a go (a little earlier though). Thanks!

@filthyphianthropist, no but typically in Norway there's not too many regular folks out at 4am.

@ancientlight, exact opposite for me. If I'm out too much I want to crawl back to my "cave". Funny thing you should mention abduction. An experience my daughter and I had a few years ago: Link (Originally reported to MUFON)

@Templar, yeah this area has a lot of creepy things going on. (Something I eventually plan on writing about) 4am just is a no-go for me.

Thanks everyone

Living in the French countryside, I follow the natural urge to pee outside, regardless of the time of day or night, but at night I look up and say "hello" to the projectors in the sky even though they may be oblivious to our inner wonderings.

The Moon sees all though and I remain skeptical of it's gaze. The gravity is strong.

There is a connection out there. Don't be afraid.

I especially love being outside at night. Sometimes I sleep outside on a cot under the stars. There is nothing like waking up to the sunrise.

Tonight we went down to the Detroit Riverway, then to a suburban park with little village surrounding a lake.

Its just to get out. See something new. Different!

Hey my friend? That big yellow thing in the sky is called the Sun! That other thing at night is the MOON!

Sometimes? You just need outer stimulation. I think youll find your answers soon. Out there>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I love being outdoors so much I am stepping down from my current job mostly in the cool ac to be outside everyday. The sun charges me with energy and the heat, well let's just say I am a lizard or at least it's what folks who know me way. My preferred setting on the thermostat is 82, but I found out that it's speeds up my ripening and subsequent decomp of my fruits and veggies outside of the fridge.

As long as I am hydrated I can endure entire days of gruelling high degree sun, and enjoy every minute of it. Hey if it gets too much even for me, I will step into the truck for a bit. My trusty jug of water though is all I need to keep any discomfort at bay.
I'm not a fan of bugs though. I actually hunt mosquito larvae and midge fly larvae everyday around my party to feed to my fish. Funny thing I hope a point last week, because this is a new thing I been doing, I hit a point last week where I was not finding anymore around. Not only that, because of my compulsive fixation to watch my tiny little community fish voraciously feed like frenzied sharks on these wormies, there have been less mosquitoes on the property!

Sometimes I even find plump juicy detritus worms and they like those too. Let me tell you about my fish. It's a super crowd d ten gallon with twenty fish. They all get along, are fiesty and seem overall excited and happy. I change the water and test it vigorously and it works because it is planted and has plenty of shrimp breeding in it also providing a natural alternative ofnlive food. Oondnsnails as well product within and are consumed by some. I had to throw away my frozen food because I just didn't get the same reaction.

Well thank you to listening to my old man rant, even though I am not even forty. I just felt like sharing. You should definitely go outside as much as possible. If the sun ever super novas or we are attacked by a nuke, I want to stare right at it and feel it coming in that brief nanosecond.

Live long and prosper.

I will be sleeping out on the trampoline this weekend, with the grandsons, looking at constellations. I can't wait!

As far as the OP?

Why not??? I get these urges all the time! Sometimes it is just to look at the moon.
One time, I found 2 large bird feathers. Or I see the deer in the field behind the house.

Nature has so much to see, why miss the opportunity?
Even if your in a city, maybe you would see a rare bird? Or an animal that needs help.

If it isn't a "bad feeling", Do it.

I lived for several years in a nomad camp in Outer Mongolia. The winter sky at night was crystal clear because it was too damned cold for any moisture to hang in the air, and we were miles away from urban lights with no electricity. The sky was astoundingly clear. I'd go outside at night with my full winter gear and lie in the snow, staring at the stars.

With everything covered in white snow, even on a moonless starlit night you could almost read a book. It was incredible. I especially enjoyed bringing visitors from the city who'd never really looked at the night sky outside to see it. Without fail they'd just gasp when I told them to look up.
