Thanks, but I don't watch videos longer than a couple of minutes.

They can become tiresome beyond two minutes.

My problem with videos is that they force me to use my time the way the video creator wanted, so it usually takes a lot longer to get the same information I would get through reading.

Time is one of the things we cannot get back (they say "time is money", but the truth is we can borrow some money but we cannot borrow some time), so we should always try to spend our time in the best way.

You're right he was relevant for a while- then seemed to become completely irrelevant.
Almost as if he'd fallen out with whoever was hand feeding him stories.

This is the problem with Corbell, Coulthard, Lt Tim and Greenstreet etc..- because they are not proper investigative reporters (non partisan representation of the truth with workings) they rely entirely on "reportage"- which is simply repeating what they are told.

All good and well - until they fall out with their source.

Knapp is the only real investigative journo in UFO-logy by virtue of his work outside of UFO-logy.
That in itself is a terrible indictment lol.

I have the same problems with videos in general.

However, in the case of the Basement Office video by Greenstreet I posted, as well as a lot of videos by John Greenewald of the BlackVault, they make a bunch of claims that some people are lying and have lied to us, and if all you have is a transcript of what they said, it may seem like one person's word against another's. However, it's not like that when you have documentation you can show to support your claim that the other party really is the liar, and this is where the video can offer an advantage, because you can show the documentation supporting your claims while making them which Greenewald does a lot and Greenstreet also did in his video linked in my previous post about AATIP lies.

By the way, if you click the three dots on the youtube video page, it gives you an option to show the transcript, which at times I've copied and pasted to Word or something when I didn't want to watch the video, but it's a little hard to read with all the time indexes. Its accuracy is also less than 100%, for example, I noticed talking about "Lue Elizondo", the auto-generated transcript said "Luella Zondo" which you have to admit is pretty close, and coincidentally in that case some people call him "Zondo" for short anyway.

I have a love-hate relationship with videos by John Greenewald, when he nitpicks things about documentation he receives. On the one hand the nit-picky details do seem to get tiresome after a while, but on the other hand, in his line of work making FOIA requests, such details are extremely important.

I didn't find Greenstreet's video "The UFO Lie: Shocking truth of Pentagon AAWSAP program" tiresome at all. He built up a background of events that have occurred since 2017 so people with various levels of knowledge of the subject could catch up, which was a good refresher, even for someone like me who has been following the topics. Then he drops the bombshells like the revelations in Lacatski's book etc. There's also a snippet of Hal Puthoff in the video saying something like there's a reason nobody can get information from the government on AATIP, because that was sort of a nickname and not the actual name of the AAWSAP project. So then you can see why the tedious attention to detail of what the program is actually called very specifically makes a difference, if you request documents on the nickname you get nothing...so you have to know the nit-picky actual name of the program when requesting FOIA documents.

It sounds like maybe you agree Greenstreet's video "The UFO Lie: Shocking truth of Pentagon AAWSAP program" was relevant, so I'm glad we agree on that. I thought he had a lot of good documentation to support everything he was saying. What do you think of the relevance of his video "UFO Hearing Insanity - Jeremy Corbell & George Knapp Influencing Congress on UFOs" on the topic of this thread posted to youtube 3 weeks ago linked earlier in this thread?

This is the problem with Corbell, Coulthard, Lt Tim and Greenstreet etc..- because they are not proper investigative reporters (non partisan representation of the truth with workings) they rely entirely on "reportage"- which is simply repeating what they are told.
We also also agree on Corbell and Lt Tim then, because it does appear they are being fed stories without which they would not be relevant otherwise. Coulthart, I have no opinion. On Greenstreet, his "The UFO Lie: Shocking truth of Pentagon AAWSAP program" at least resembled investigative journalism to me. I don't know who would have fed him that story, he had multiple sources like an interview with John Greenewald, as well as Greenewald's documentation, James Lacatski's book, a Showtime interview with leslie Kean, etc. I don't know how much investigation went into Greenstreet's video "UFO Hearing Insanity - Jeremy Corbell & George Knapp Influencing Congress on UFOs", but it wasn't supposed to be an investigative video like "The UFO Lie". In the UFO hearing video, he took information from Greenewald and West about Corbell and Knapps antics, and said basically "look, these are the same clowns we see in the UFO hearing". So it seems like the relevance of that video to UFOlogy was that if Congress is trying to take the subject of UFOs seriously, they couldn't have invited two worse clowns than Knapp and Corbell to sabotage their efforts. Then you're left to draw your own conclusions about why Corbell is there and who is feeding him disinfo to pass along.

Knapp is the only real investigative journo in UFO-logy by virtue of his work outside of UFO-logy.
That in itself is a terrible indictment lol.

If Knapp does investigative journalism outside of UFOlogy, I don't think you can say therefore he's "the only real investigative journo in UFO-logy", that's kind of an outrageous statement given what we know about Knapp's reporting on UFOlogy and his consistent refusal to ask the probing questions that need to be asked of his interviewees like Lazar and Bob Bigelow. I do give Knapp credit for saying he knows Lazar is lying about his education and he's asked Lazar to come clean about that, but Lazar continues the charade.

However KKnapp stops there and doesn't report on all the other things he knows Lazar is lying about, like a true investigative journalist would.

There's also the 29 Palms video that Knapp and Corbell allege shows a football field size triangle craft, which they said they spent 2 years investigating. After only a few minutes of investigating, both Greenewald and Mick West were able to confirm the "giant triangle" was actually military flares. I thought it might become "Phoenix Lights part 2" when Corbell denied that military flares at first. That's discussed at time 3:00 in this video by Greenstreet, which he posted to youtube only 3 weeks ago and seems very relevant to me, so explain how this recent Greenstreet video is not relevant to expose how Knapp and Corbell are still trying to spread bad information in Ufology:

UFO Hearing Insanity - Jeremy Corbell & George Knapp Influencing Congress on UFOs

So I don't know why you're implying that video isn't relevant, it seems very relevant in exposing some of the shenanigans going on with the dubious characters (and that's putting it kindly) Knapp and Corbell with respect to the topic of this thread, the Congress UFO hearing.

They can show images of the documents on a plain HTML page. In fact, the type of video I hate the most is those videos made specifically to show photos. As the photos are usually of a higher resolution and the video compression is worse than image compression (which can be lossless), those videos server only to degrade the quality of the original information.

By the way, if you click the three dots on the youtube video page, it gives you an option to show the transcript, which at times I've copied and pasted to Word or something when I didn't want to watch the video, but it's a little hard to read with all the time indexes. I have seen some of those auto-generated subtitles, and the are, sometimes, useless, specially to someone like me that is not a native English speaker, so I have more trouble understanding the changes created by the automated system.
Another reason I don't like videos is that sometimes I also find it hard to understand what is said, that's why I sometimes use the automated subtitles, and they do not help much.

I’m sticking this in this thread because it’s political/UFOs…

WED, SEP 6, 2023 Former President Donald Trump On His Trials and His Campaign

This was some Q&A dialogue in a podcast between Hugh Hewitt and Donald Trump….concerning UFO’s

HH: Two last questions, Mr. President. The UFO issue is back. The Tennessee congressman wants it. What did you learn about UFO’s when you were in the Oval? Do you believe in them?

DT: That’s a very interesting question, I’ll tell you. So you have believers in that like you wouldn’t believe, and they’re very solid people. And then you have people that don’t believe. And I’m really more focused on Russia, and I focus on China. And I focused on North Korea. You have people, though, I will tell you, I interviewed a couple people from the Air Force, and these guys were central casting, perfect guys with their crew cuts. And they walked in and they were handsome as hell, and I said what do you think, and they believe it. I mean, they believe it. They said they saw it.

HH: So you got briefed on UFO’s?

DT: And he’s not the kind of guy that’s going to lie.

HH: You got briefed on them?

DT: What?

HH: When you were president, they briefed you on UFO’s?

DT: I was briefed, yeah. I was briefed.

HH: So do you believe in them?

DT: I have, I always have an open mind, but you know what? I focus on things like China, and things like, you know, unfortunately, I had to also focus on garbage…like Adam Schiff, Shifty Schiff and Hillary Clinton and other people that were always trying to take me down. So I did more than almost any president, and maybe more than any president. I did Space Force. I did all this stuff. I rebuilt our military. All this stuff despite the fact that I had the Democrats going after me all the time. I mean, I was fighting. I had two jobs. One was running a great country, and I did that, and the other was survival. And because I’m running, the survival…
