Let's try this on for a cognitive dissonance:

The Democratic Party is not "trying to save the Black community" (especially those fatherless households)....

NOW you are saying that (your very own words) "Democrats are trying to "save" the Black community".

Either the DNC is trying to save the Black community or it doesn't. Keep in mind that plenty of Democrats are Black.

Dont listen to candace, or anyone else look it up, as far back as the early 80s even the NY times was writing about it and talking about the numbers.

Dont take anyones word for it, look at the numbers its easy to find if your willing to look, the numbers dont lie and its interesting the change in the black community prior to big govt getting involved to today.

Truth here seems to be not welcomed, sorta of pushed to the heap pile, not real on terms of those that will never let got of beliefs that they never questioned if it was who they really are. Cowards.

When I grew up most black households had their father present and we had little trouble in school because we all were taught respect. Many of those same families still live here and are doing well with raising their children. The one's who have many baby dadies and have been on the government sponsored roles not so much.

Paying black women to have more babies with more men and Uncle sugar will increase you monthly payment is just like feeding bears on your back porch, more bears are going to show up.

I'm in a very small town and have seen the destruction firsthand. Welfare killed the black family, full stop.

The Government Knows this and keep subsiding it for that very reason. Illiterate people are easy to control.

In 2021, 1,807 Black men per 100,000 were held in state or federal prisons in the U.S. after being sentenced1.
In 2018, black males accounted for 34% of the total male prison population, white males 29%, and Hispanic males 24%2.
One out of every three Black boys born today can expect to be sentenced to prison, compared to one out of six Latino boys and one out of 17 white boys3.
In 2018, there were 2,272 inmates per 100,000 black men, compared with 1,018 inmates per 100,000 Hispanic men and 392 inmates per 100,000 white men4

Again where did I say suggest or infer I believe every word sentence or utterance from Ms Owens. I do not, but I do believe she is speaking her truth and she believes it enough to discuss it honestly and openly in a Congressional hearing.

I didn't say you believed every word she says. The point is that she has lost all credibility.

She needs to answer how Democrats are responsible for those things she listed.

First of all, I want to say thanks for the discussion, we need to be able to talk about our differing opinions.

I look at the individuals, not their party affiliation. I wanted Kiesha Bottoms to run again, she seem like a woman of character with good leadership skills and loads of integrity. Didn't agree with her on all issues, but I never do that with any politician.

I'm ready for effective leadership at a national level regardless of party, My thoughts are the 2 party system sets us up for failure, it sets us to be divided. We need to get away from that, I'm for whatever gives all of us a fighting chance to succeed, be content, and build a better country and world for our children.

Suggesting one comment from Ms. Owens destroys her credibility completely is an over-the-top reaction.

I would suggest then nobody has any credibility certainly none of our current leaders regardless of party affiliation.

A look at our major cities' population demographics, the percentage of those living below the poverty level, and the percentage of cities with the largest percentage of single-parent families. They are coincidently mostly run by Democratic mayors and have been for a long time.

All of it suggests statistically she is somewhat correct, even if it is an oversimplification of the whole issue. As single-parent families run across all demographics. I'll be glad to PM the links, research, and my thoughts.

It's a moot point though it doesn't matter, she isn't likely to run and if she did she wouldn't get elected.

Furthermore, honestly, I'm glad somebody is happy with the status quo and the current leadership, even if most people always have negative opinions of their government, it seems to be at an extremely low tide currently.

Her parents, probably Democrats, divorced and Candace was raised by her grandparents, probably Repubicans. She went to Stamford High School in Connecticut. She won 37K when she sued the Samford school board because a student, the Mayor's (probably a Democrat) son, racially targeted her with threatening phone calls.
