Liberal Technocrats are urging President Biden to undermine and disregard Supreme Court rulings he does not agree with and instead work unilaterally to have the Executive Branch of the government make constitutional interpretations on cases that are ruled on by the court.

Professors urge Biden to defy 'mistaken' rulings by 'MAGA' Supreme Court justices

"We urge President Biden to restrain MAGA justices immediately by announcing that if and when they issue rulings that are based on gravely mistaken interpretations of the Constitution that undermine our most fundamental commitments, the Administration will be guided by its own constitutional interpretations,"

They theorized that Biden could explain how the Supreme Court’s decisions are "egregiously wrong" and offer an alternative constitutional interpretation, particular if the ruling poses a "grave threat."

Do you agree with these Technocrats that the Executive Branch of government has the power to disregard the other branches of government (disregard separation of powers) and that the Biden administration should exercise this power?

Personal I don't understand the cognitive dissonance that has to exist for these Technocrats to raise an alarm that (in their opinion) conservative judges are acting dangerously, undemocraticly and un-American while at the same time urging their chosen executive to act like a thrid world dictator.

It's also kind of comical that Democrats are making "saving American ideals" a important party of their party platform but at the same time keep advising and urging Joe Biden to act like a dictator.... the common accusation they level at their political rivals.

My attorney and I were talking about this earlier today.

The kind of stuff that these supposed "professors" and people with "intelligence" tend to say is... absolutely astounding at this point.

The scariest thought, is that the current administration is likely to do this, with the current track record in mind. What's another constitutional disregard or two in the grand scheme of things, right? It's totally fine. Completely fine. At least when they do it. Right?

......... Right?

All we heard for four years was Trump acted like a dictator. A dictator answers to no one, so what do we have in the WH now?

They have taken all meaning and power away from the laws our country was founded on; we sit in front of our TV sets and watch it play out in real time....waiting for the closing scene.

It's always a good idea to annoy the SCOTUS when there are important battles coming up in their swimlanes. And all the federal judges underneath might look at this and feel alarmed as well.

Didn't the Israeli government just do something like this.

Passed a law to limit its Supreme Court's power to block government decisions.

It was evidenced during COVID, they overstepped the student loan forgiveness (albeit before the ruling came out that EVERYBODY KNEW was coming), and about to likely be done again.

This isn't even to mention the Ice Cream Man talking about an investigation into a private citizen, along with the attempted election interference going on now with trying to stomp out the election year competition.

For a president and administration decrying the acts of countries such as China and Russia, they seem to be trying their best to copy them...

How Many Businesses Have Closed due to Covid-19?
(Source: The Wall Street Journal)

With wave after wave and lockdown after lockdown, it’s not surprising that small businesses have suffered the most. In fact, as of April 2021, studies suggest that around 200,000 US establishments have had to permanently close their doors because of the pandemic.

Look at how much of these industries budget that was spent on questionable distance and safety measures

All because the professors, scientists, and academia told us to. don't get me wrong love some science, medicine, health care, etc. but there are almost always differing opinions even among academia. Especially when the modern world is hit with issues never before dealt with. In other words, we ought to trust a panel of justices over one person or party's determination in most of these new issues or situations.

www.nature.com...

Results showed that social distancing in Austria and Slovenia greatly mitigated the initial outbreaks (spring outbreaks 2020) but amplified subsequent outbreaks (winter outbreaks 2020/21) (see Fig. 4A,C). Although social distancing was shown to be highly effective in reducing fatalities during the early stages of a pandemic, these benefits tend to be lost over the longer term as evident from U-shaped relative fatality curves in Fig. 4B,D. These curves represent the ratio of the number of fatalities in scenarios with social distancing to those in scenarios with no social distancing (e.g. a relative fatality value of 0.6 indicates that social distancing reduced fatalities by 40%).

The biggest issue that the supreme court has failed at by a wide margin is allowing the federal government to use something other than gold or silver to pay debts. Each and every president since Nixon has very flagrantly disregarded the United States constitution by using something other than gold or silver as payment for federal debts. What left-wing politician has ever cared about that though?

This is how the whole DEI thing got started also.

By a bunch of "acedemics".

Now that is federally mandated.

And therein lies the rub...

There actually is a way that Congress - not the Executive mind you - can limit the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, as well as the jurisdiction of the lower federal courts.

This has actually always bothered me a little, although I'm not sure if it has ever been exercised, and if so, how often, and when and how...
