RIP Tony Bennett

Legendary singer Tony Bennett has passed away.

Tony Bennett, one of the most beloved and recognizable voices in the history of American popular music, died Friday at 96, less than two weeks shy of his birthday, his publicist said in a statement.

Condolences to his wife Antonia and his four children.

They say he was best known for 'I left my heart in San Francisco'. My favorite is this one:

Born in San Francisco, so this hurts me a little bit different. A little bit more.

He was the same age as my dad is. My dad lived in SF in the 40s when he attended Stanford. San Francisco Tony sung about is long gone

Oh man... to lose the Greats... he was true grit and that voice!
Mom saw him in the late '50... I think in San Fran. 10 years ago I took her to see his performance and while I knew he was talented - WOW-- over 2 hours of the incredible artist.
Dude was in his mid/late 80s and he sang non-stop for 2 hours. No voice machine required.

They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
Much respect to Mr. Bennett - he made the world a better place.
