Who is really cheating here?

Federal agents have been serving subpoenas to the 16 people who signed their names as fake electors for former President Donald Trump in an attempt to give Michigan’s electoral votes to Trump instead of President Joe Biden, who won the state.

Why do you insist on posting this false narrative when I've clearly posted links in the other thread that clearly shows in some of these people's own words they proudly signed the false documents? They proudly went to the state Capitol with them after falsely stating they signed them at the Capitol. Pictures, interviews, etc included in the links. Repeating your claim over and over again does not make it true.

I mean if you have a link to support this claim as I asked previously, please post it.

The reason they proudly signed it was because they believed the law was on their side and IF any malfeasance was uncovered in the process, there needed to be alternate electors, or the whole process would be wasted. Again, this was supposed to be IF the others were somehow found to be elected by some fraudulently manner and according to legal advice at the time. The legal understanding at the time was that even if total fraud was found, if they didn't have alternates, they would get no votes.

This should definitely be a matter of let sleeping dogs lie. The solution, if it happens again, is simply to ignore them as was done before, or make the law explicit to this action, which it isn't currently. There is no case where they can ramrod this through in some sneaky manner, so it is hardly a criminal thing especially given the legal advice of it.

That said, maybe it will work its way through the court and the legal experts of that day will say that it was a perfectly constitutional action taken in the state of uncertainty.

Sure, but if there is a legitimate controversy, it's up to the State Legislature to work out an alternate slate of electors, following the state's laws. The State Legislature includes ALL the duly elected members of the State House and Senate--Repubs, Dems, Independents, whatever. These nimbobs were NOT the State Legislature. They were just a random mob of RWNJs who decided to take the law into their own hands.
