It would seem that bleeding all the groundwater out has tipped the Earth slightly. The Erth's wobble caused the Sahara to dry up in a matter of decades. Could we be seeing similar?
Water has power. So much power, in fact, that pumping Earth’s groundwater can change the planet’s tilt and rotation. It can also impact sea-level rise and other consequences of climate change.
Pumping groundwater appears to have a greater consequence than ever previously thought. But now—thanks to a new study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters—we can see that, in less than two decades, Earth has tilted 31.5 inches as a result of pumping groundwater. This equates to .24 inches of sea level rise.

All I hear is how what we have now is proof of "climate change", yet we know the climate changes, always has and always will. SO will all the fabulous models we have to prove how horrible man is to the global environment, what would "ideal" look like? Would temperatures be stable? No more records of any kind? Or would it look a lot like the weather we have now? Can the models run in reverse and show verifiable past climate results?
I have to ask things like this as the Climate Change folks who are 100% sure of themselves, seem smug in their quick retorts to talk down to anyone who doesn't fall in line and believe unconditionally. If you look at it from a common sense perspective, it looks an awful lot like a money grab, and heaps of bull#. Yes the climate changes, and yes we have been warming as a trend. But we have been doing that at a fairly steady pace as we are emerging from an ice age. And if things go like they have in the historical past, we should have another cold period coming up, which will take many years to get to, and we will see a gradual cooling trend.
Since in my lifetime we have transitioned from fearing another ice age, to fearing runaway warming, I sure hope I will get to see the pendulum swing back once more and have us fearing an ice age again. I look forward to the experts explaining what "perfect" would look like and what it would take to get there.
