This should be somewhat interesting, to see if some powerful Senators can get the U.S. Government to crack and release info on what it knows about ufo's. They should also consider the military as well, esp. Air Force, as well as Naval info too:

Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the majority leader, is pushing legislation to create a commission with broad authority to declassify government documents about U.F.O.s and extraterrestrial matters, in an attempt to force the government to share all that it knows about unidentified phenomena.

The measure offers the possibility of pushing back against the conspiracy theories that surround discussions of U.F.O.s and fears that the government is hiding critical information from the public.

The legislation, which Mr. Schumer will introduce as an amendment to the annual defense policy bill, has bipartisan support, including that of Senator Mike Rounds, Republican of South Dakota, and Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who has championed legislation that has forced the government to release a series of reports on unidentified phenomena.

Support in the House is also likely. On Wednesday, the chamber included a narrower measure in its version of the annual defense bill that would push the Pentagon to release documents about unidentified aerial phenomena.

The government will be allowed 300 days to get their info on ufo's/uap's together, which in my view is far too long. Don't give them time to whitewash!!!!

The Senate measure sets a 300-day deadline for government agencies to organize their records on unidentified phenomena and provide them to the review board.

Well this is shocking, NOT!!!

American officials have repeatedly said that none of the videos or other material they have collected appears to be evidence of alien visitation.

Deny deny deny:

Government officials have repeatedly said they do not have the remains of a crashed alien spacecraft or any manufactured material of extraterrestrial origins.

Those assertions have been challenged by some former officials who believe the government is not divulging all that it knows. The legislation would likely force more details of the government’s study of unknown materials to be released, but it also gives the federal government the power to claim any crashed spaceships in private or corporate hands, however unlikely that such things exist.

(A repost from another thread)

The hang up to having public transparency, will always be not having the Title 10 and Title 50 clearances.

Title 50…..The biggie of the two

2013 US Code Title 50 - War and National Defense Chapter 45 - MISCELLANEOUS INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AUTHORITIES (§§ 3301 - 3383) Subchapter III - SECURITY CLEARANCES AND CLASSIFIED INFORMATION (§§ 3341 - 3348) Section 3341 - Security clearances

If you don’t have a Title 50 Clearance ……you get “The Moon Is Made Out Of Cheese”

👽

Adding…..it doesn’t matter how powerful one is …… in “public” service!

No Clearance No Nothing…

So is there really such a lack of good of things they can run on that "we'll get to the bottom of them aliens, guys and gals, I swear!" It's their best bet?

The last commission couldn't accomplish what was supposed to be a "slam dunk".

With 300 days to go, it will be a timely political topic for the next election.

As for what makes the surface, sound like quite a struggle in the background with a lot of threats and intimidation being used as more people want to talk about it. It will be tough for those in deep.

Does anybody believe the gov anymore at this point? The thing is in these interesting times it could just as well just be another nail in the coffin of "trust in the institutions".
A certain scepticism is sure a good thing, but I don't see "exotic material" as proof for ET. They'd still be from this layer of the universe as we are and there are just chemistry and physics rules that apply. Unless it's super advanced, super thin nano-tubes... but even that can be produced on Earth.

Pretty sure that crashed craft is another one of those things that are not what they seem. I am also pretty sure the orbs are not nuts'n bolts.
Without taking away from the minutemen incident or other things like some of the crop circles maybe even.

But what'd be there really to disclose?

thats a ridicuclous amount of time for the government to cover up a ton of info they don't want to get out.

So we trust at best a polarizing career politician to only be honest and forthcoming with a straightforward stated intent and nothing else? Right? What could go wrong?

Source: Senators to offer amendment to require government to make UFO records public

Well what do you know…..

Schumer said he is carrying out the legacy of former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who more than a decade ago pushed funding for the Pentagon’s secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.

Lawmakers’ interest in learning more about UFO sightings soared after that project became public and media outlets began publishing video clips of unexplained aerial phenomena captured by the cameras and sensors on military jets.

Betchya Reid raked millions into his own back pocket while riding the wave of public opinion . Now , all want to get into the money and vote bowl .

From your link also .
Bold by me for subject matter.

I wanted to get excited about this but grown tired of the recent nothing burgers they have provided. Or is this some big distraction to more concerning issues? Maybe Proj Blue Beam is about to kick off. I don't know. I do know you can't believe anything coming out of the government.

I hear you. If they were REALLY serious, and I will say it again, don't give the government almost a year to get their house in order. Give them 3 days!!, or better yet 3 hours.

Inundating your adversary with false alarms tends to have this effect.

Primarily uses up their resources - allowing you to measure their capacity, but just as importantly - if conducted over a long period of time- causes nonchalance and eventually- indifference.

Which makes whatever you are up to a lot easier.

Schumer just ones to give it a try to another over bloated agencie soo he can have funds funneled to it.

The government will always hide the truth, they will never give up, Schumer will have more power with this commission, and he will be able to control what is given to the public while lying about it.

Schumer is the last person in congress you will trust with the truth.
