My name is Rep. Meisha Mainor and today I made the decision to leave the Democrat Party. I represent a blue district in the city of Atlanta so this wasn’t a political decision for me. It was a a MORAL one. I will NEVER apologize for being a black woman with a mind of my own.
"For far too long, the Democrat Party has gotten away with using and abusing the black community," she added. "For decades, the Democrat Party has received the support of more than 90% of the black community. And what do we have to show for it? I represent a solidly blue district in the city of Atlanta. This isn’t a political decision for me. It’s a moral one."
This is how people are going to vote in 2024 and it SHOULD be a bloodbath for the current administration.

just think, if more democrats actually learn what Dr. King was talking about, they might realize how racist the left really is and switch too.
MLK was opposed to both parties but worked closely with democrats on civil rights.

I really wish you would go back and reread history on that front before you keep telling people things that are not accurate.
MLK was opposed to both parties but worked closely with democrats on civil rights. He was also a self proclaimed socialist.
His father was a republican but changed party affiliation during the Kennedy days.
“I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream.”
“I have a dream that one day right there in Alabama little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.”
“Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice.”
“We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed — we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
"When I decided to stand up on behalf of disadvantaged children in support of school choice, my Democrat colleagues didn’t stand by me," Mainor explained of her decision in a statement to Fox News Digital. "They crucified me. When I decided to stand up in support of safe communities and refused to support efforts to defund the police, they didn’t back me. They abandoned me."
