In March of this year our "Conservative" government said we the tax payer would give $576 million to France (on top of money already given) to help stop illegal boat crossings by economic migrants , the Home Office says 686 migrants were ferried into our country yesterday by the Border Force Taxi service , this number doesn't include others who likely made it into the country either unnoticed or through other means .... our Liberal "Conservative" government are clearing another hotel in my area and making the staff there redundant to house and feed our new "guests" while I and others pay for their comfort and the Hotel staff look for new jobs.

As I watch the demographic of the town I live in change beyond recognition I am starting to feel like I am the foreigner here in my own country , Eastern Europeans , Asians and Africans are slowly but surely taking over , the lies of the Tory party ring hollow in my ears and a feeling of despair is setting in , if we are being failed so badly by our supposedly "Conservative government how bad will it be when next year we will likely get a Labour / Liberal Democrat coalition who are all about letting the World come to these shores win power.

Friday saw the highest number of migrants arriving in the UK after crossing the Channel in a single day so far this year.

Some 686 migrants made the dangerous journey, according to Home Office figures.

The previous daily high for 2023 was recorded on 11 June, when 549 people made the trip.

The latest crossings take the provisional total for this year to 12,119.

We are sinking under the weight , the Briton we once loved is almost gone and nobody in power is willing to do a damned thing about it other than waste our money and tell us more lies , we have been failed by a party that used to stand for law and order and border control.

Not waving , drowning.

We have had a migrant problem long before the globalization boogie man appeared.

Poverty, famine, oppression and war are the main reasons and have existed for hundreds if, not thousands of years

Since the quality of living is the main impetus for leaving. Perhaps first-world countries ought to help to make countries where the migrants are coming from a better place to live.

Hell if NATO banded together and turned just one or 2 North African countries into safe havens. Imagine if the funds and military power being sent to Ukraine were used to prop up a government or 2, with real social programs and assistance.

It's probably too late but if the flow doesn't slow, and they are given a reason to stay closer to their home regions, they will continue to slog through trying to assimilate into other cultures.

What happens to those hotels is a perfect analogy for what happens to a community and a country.

It's either that or really close the borders.

the same goes for the US and Canada in Central and South America.

Sure, no complaints from me. You’ll never find me supporting any war or even taking sides when one breaks out. War is just the poor being paid to do the bidding of the rich and powerful.

These boat people have always been a problem, first it was the Romans, then when they finally got sick of the wet and cold and pissed off the vikings came, a real pain in the arse that lot, they even decided to stay having come from a place even colder if not quite as damp. Then the bloody Norman’s arrived and that was the end of the good times for us!

This current invasion is a real slap in the face though, they barely know how to rape and pillage, instead preferring to lounge about the place and adding to the already long queues and waiting lists we have. I fear stepping out of my safe space to get my trans op because my virtue signalling isn’t just stopping oil fast enough! At least I have great paying job in the MSM where I get to tell people how bad they are for wrong think and their unconscious bias, the cretins!

Ok I suppose what I’m getting at is with what this country has become, the redundant mindset that voting will change anything. The insidious corruption in all public services and politics. And last but certainly not least the apathy and cuckold mentality of the general public.. well have at it.

What are you suggesting we don’t bomb the crap out of them, or otherwise sanction them?

That was done with Libya it’s a proper safe haven now for human trafficking and slave labour.

Forgive my sarcasm it’s just my way of expressing the utter disgust I feel with the state of affairs in the world.

'liberal' and 'tory' is all theater , just like 'left' and 'right' politicians. They are all on the same side, it's just theater to make the masses think our votes matter (they don't) and to keep us divided. It works brilliantly wherever you look sadly.

The NWO plan has been all along to erase the west and to erase white people('white supramacy' , consant flaming race divide MSM) , erase genders(easy to see), erase religion and to erase our minds (social media , 'colleges' etc) .
Why ? So we all become more similar, easier to control . And the west is a threat to their 'great reset'. They want to destroy the west in order to bring in their 'great reset' .

I'm not very optimistic for the future , I try to remain optimistic but it's not easy if I see what's happening to Europe and here.

Right, so back then these boats full of migrants were funded by governments as well ?

If by equally rich you mean poor, then yes. I’ll be fine, i’ve seen this coming for a long time. I’ll give my food stamps to the homeless.

I agree with you however the system doesn’t want that and will not allow that.

The amount of money that has been sunk into places like Africa is enough to make it a paradise of rich citizens with lives of plenty. However corruption prevents the money from ever getting to where it’s needed and that is getting much worse not better These days the money doesn’t even reach the warlords and corrupt politicians and business people of Africa. It gets stolen by western politicians before it ever arrives.

Gortex, i really really despair at our political parties. I had always voted Labour but Starmers stance on the migrants seem worse than the Conservatives. He wants an even more relaxed stance. I honestly do not know who to vote for next year as non of the political parties are listening to what the majority of people want. AND if the majority of people want no more migrants and send those back that are here (which everybody I've talked to wants) we will be labelled racist bigots. If that's the name they want to give me then name away.

I won't be voting as I don't see the point , with National debt now at 100% of GDP and the money they've wasted on not getting control of our borders I can't separate the Tories from Labour in the race for who I would least like to run the country (into the ground)

At least we have the memories.

I’m in the same boat as you. Life long labour voter who can’t support Labour as it is today and doesn’t know what to do next time. I’ve always felt that if you don’t vote you don’t have a right to moan about politics but there truly is no party that I align with now so I can see myself not voting for the first time ever local and national.

I’ve said many times I wish there was a box on the ballot that said ‘none of the above’ because at least then there could be no denying how many have been disenfranchised and maybe just maybe a new party would arise to attract those votes.

Me too , I think voter turnout would probably rise but its omission is a sign of how little they care.

As with Albanians who turn up on these shores the government are giving Sri Lankans money to go home , funny how the government only takes my money.

Three British cabinet ministers are being sued by a group of Sri Lankan Tamil asylum seekers, who claim they are being falsely imprisoned in dangerous conditions on a small island in the Indian Ocean.
Some of the migrants have spent more than a year-and-a-half on Diego Garcia, a British overseas territory, after the navy rescued their ailing fishing boat as it attempted a crossing to Canada in October 2021.

In total, 89 asylum seekers have since arrived in Diego Garcia.

Some have accepted payments to return to Sri Lanka, while others have made onward journeys to Reunion, a French Island.
The vast majority who have made asylum claims have been rejected but insist that it is unsafe for them to return to Sri Lanka, where the Tamil Tigers were defeated in a civil war 14 years ago. Only two have been told that they will be granted asylum in a "third country".

I always thought Libya was doing pretty well for its citizens till you know who got involved, basically, the same people that saved and rebuilt Haiti, I mean if we are going to be all sarcastic and everything...

Yea Im aware of Somalia and other places where it never worked

Because you can't just throw money at it, and forget it. It needs to be organized and have security so it isn't corrupted and taken advantage of.

I know it will never happen but it's got to be better than the same old cycle. Hell, half of the 3rd world would be content with the extreme poverty conditions in parts of the US.

Another group of hotel workers are now looking for work this time over the border in Wales and the locals are not happy.

Police have clashed with protestors who surrounded a hotel in Wales accused of telling dozens of workers they will lose their jobs ahead of housing hundreds of asylum seekers.

The four-star Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, is reportedly making 95 of its staff redundant so the owners can allow the Home Office to use it to house up to 241 asylum seekers.

Protestors opposed to the plans surrounded the 76-room hotel with a view to blocking the conversion, and police were called to the scene on Sunday as the crowd grew.

Two people were arrested for allegedly preventing the movement of a vehicle that was blocking the hotel's entrance, and both were later released on bail.

Staff at the hotel were called to meetings last Tuesday and told they would be made redundant from 10 July, when the first asylum seekers are expected to arrive.

Llanelli MP, Dame Nia Griffith, branded the news "outrageous".
