I appreciate the synopsis. I had to struggle with the fabrication of the “Dial of Destiny “ being “the thing Indy had searched for his whole life,” especially given he never brought it up etc…
I have also had a problem with the active and heroic Indy they were trying to pull off, as HF has more of a “shuffler’s “ demeanor and less of a jaw punching swashbuckler.🤷🏼♂️

Actually box office ticket sales don't matter when you take into consideration global streaming revenues where the money keeps rolling in long after the theater run is finished.
I have worked on terrible movies, years ago, that never should have been made and I still get residual checks from them monthly. Money made from streaming is astonishing. I'm producing/directing a T&A, hard R, film I hope will get picked up by a streaming service that offers that genera. It's to raunchy for the theater. Here's a little teaser....think female MMA and BareKnuckle chicks save the planet.
Thanks for the critique! I won't pay to watch it at the theater. "Asteroid city" is another matter....

That’s it!
#IndianaJones set for a sad farewell as #IndianaJonesAndTheDialOfDestiny bottomed industry’s projections with disastrous 60M 3-day opening weekend at US #BoxOffice,half of #CrystalSkull’s 125.2M THU-SUN 2008 opening (and #DialOfDestiny costs almost 40% more)

As someone who largely gave up on movies a decade or so ago I admit I'm enjoying watching these chickens come home to roost , let the corporations burn.

That's fine...
I usually work on smaller, indy projects, wanting to tap into this market. So far, so good...3 greenlights in 23.

I realize the market fluctuates but I see the entertainment industry growing with kids even watching garbage on their mobile phones. Someone is producing it and raking in the $$$. I'm guilty of plucking the low hanging fruit.
Escapism is a hot commodity with the world in it's current clusterfuxs I don't see it ending anytime soon.
