What is the greatest conspiracy theory?

First of all, i am not religious and don´t believe in any god or devil. But isn´t there a saying, something like:

The biggest lie of them all is that there is no devil because the devil makes the people believe that he isn´t real.

Something like that. So he can do whatever he wants but nobody comes to the idea that the cause could simply be the devil.

Noe let´s change devil to conspirator who controls the media...

There is no devil in the biblical sense but there are many devils out there who want to make us believe that their crimes against humanity aren´t their crimes or even crimes at all. And they also want to make us believe that they are no conspirators but humanitarians who only want the best for all of their fellow earthlings.

You forgot what a real conspiracy communism waxs and the hundreds of millions of people who suffered under the communist regimes all over the world. They're still suffering in China for example.

that those waging war against us are great strategic masters when in reality they are a bunch of corrupt incompetents relying on academic theory to promote the air of competence all the while utterly lacking any substance or moral grounding.

You forgot what a real conspiracy communism waxs and the hundreds of millions of people who suffered under the communist regimes all over the world. They're still suffering in China for example.

And millions have suffered and still are suffering due to Capitalism.

Two sides of the same coin as far as I can tell.

All belief and control systems are a con of one sort or another, not sure if that qualifies as a conspiracy or not?

Personally, I think JFK and Aliens/UFO's are the most intriguing simply because of their longevity and the amount of information available but still we do not have definitive proof of anything.

And I also think that the proliferation of conspiracy theories is a deliberate conspiracy aimed at discrediting the conspiracy 'movement' and deflecting away from real conspiracies.

There is no Great Plan - or if there is its been #ing hopeless - just a Cabal of people who seek to influence and exploit given situations to maintain the status quo and their elitist positions.

You of all people should get it. You named yourself after the Borg of StarTrek, correct? Starfleet is simi-socialist, but the Borg are perfect communists devoted to the greater good, not only good but perfection, even at the expense of the individual drone. AlienBorgs are not communists. I think you're confusing the borg collective (alien) with the human proletariat.

I tend to feel communism/capitalism are miss directions the soviets replaced the priests with political commissars and we now see them replace the commissars with priests, effectively its the exact same society with a fractionally different veneer, and we're all like that, changing the system won't change the suffering, nor those who suffer just the name in which that suffering takes place.

take our country and the suffering of your region.. the only reason mine doesn't suffer as much is we're more a threat than yours (having captured london more than anyone else).. if as a country we went communist, fascist or islamist it'd still be the same, a real conspiracy is buying into the idea that a different system changes anything..

It was a mad theory on this website from about 10-odd years ago IIRC, with an OP who had absolutely no evidence for it whatsoever but who was so wedded to the idea that no matter what facts were brought up that destroyed it, he or she kept on going. A bit sad really.

The Dark Knight conspiracy thread here on ATS was captivating.
Not sure how much truth there was in it but it was great reading keeping up with it.

There's been some truly bizarre theories and even prophesies - my current favourite is that the earth is covered by a glass ceiling and all the worlds governments are conspiring together to cover it up from us all.....for some unfathomable reason.
Oh, and in the same thread the moon apparently is a Garden of Eden like fertile paradise with cities all over blah blah blah.
