That pretty picture of a global grid of saterltes is a joke. In real life they are all in motion in a series of rings. None are keeping spread out evenly like that. Whoever made that picture does not understand orbital dynamics at all. It is more like most people picture an atom with it's electrons.

As far as other purposes for starlink, I understand some have cameras and some have other instruments. They could be the new weather and servailence satalite system.

There is no way they could produce enough energy to make a global magnetic field unless each one has a fusion reactor on board. So that is out of the question.

Thousands of these little satellites might sound excessive but to provide true high-speed network access with the lowest possible latency (lag), the finer the net the more fish can get caught at one time...

Think of a highway system. If you have a densely populated area but only 2 major highways, one heading North/South and another East/West, what does the daily traffic congestion look like? Really friggin slow right?

Now, build a grid-based system of roads with multiple routes going both ways and a car has a much better chance of finding a fast route than it would by taking one of the 2 major routes.

What crossed my mind here, no one mentioned, was the stator, rotor principle used to convert energy between kinetic and electromagnetic.
on one side it might be able to harness the energy of earth megnetic fiel or it could induce the field and keep it going, or just stabilize it.

Worst case, it's some etheric nefariousness...

I don't know if there's a nefarious plan to any of Musk's dealings, but I do know he gets a huge amount of money from the government. It makes me suspicious that he's always portrayed as locking horns with the hand that feeds him and so vocal about how technology may be the end of us all....as he continues to develop it.

It makes one wonder if 'they' know something we don't.

1) Start with books and put individual numbers on all products.
2) Put computers into everything , especially vehicles.
3) Cell phones
4) Build HUGE data centers to track everything from the computers , devices , cell phones , vehicles .
5) Smart meters.
6) Vax ????
7) Put up a network of satellites to obtain and feed all to those data centers.
I remember the time when it was said it was impossible to track everyone...

Every single representation of the constellation shows a grid. Even if they are moving all together, it's still a grid. But if you have a more accurate image, pls show.

I'm not religious, so I tend to leave the 'antichrist' out of the equation :p

but as far as his government funding goes, while reading up on this topic I learned that a big part of starlink is for government use, under the name of Starshield. (SHIELD)

Didn't even know that before I started this thread...

Whatever the intention behind it is (if there is one), it's set up for a 'worst case' scenario, either for offense or defense, from inside or outside the grid. I don't believe for a second that the whole thing was set up only for communications purposes.

The tech side of it goes a little above my head so I'm not going to pretend to understand it

It is a powerful weapon as it is, without lasers and whatever. If Musk is the one who controls "the truth" spread by his satellite internet that provides even the most remote spots on earth, and if he behaves like he behaves on Twitter, then this one, Musks "truth", spread into the world, is the only truth and reality for hundreds of millions or even billions of people.

That would make him a Berlusconi high thousand. If you control the media, the news, then it´s easy to even start civil wars, overthrow governments,it would be easy for Musk to make himself untouchable and loved by the people and all that, he could even create a new religion, cult and be the messiah of that cult himself. Doesn´t need lasers or whatever to create devastation with such a satellite net around the world.

Only thing that makes me wonder is why is nobody trying to sabotage Starlink, why does nobody, maybe the chinese, take down those satellites because they must know what kind of a powerful weapon it is when it´s finished. Sometimes i think the only possibility that makes sense is that we have been infiltrated by aliens which try to shape earth now to their belongings and make us earthlings their slaves. And all these "philantropes" are nothing else than either human traitors who work for these aliens or even aliens themselves.

This idea makes at least more sense than the reality around us right now, the reality we are told but know it´s to 90% fictitious BS only created to control the masses and make the by the MSM brainwashed masses do what some megalomaniacs want them to do. Like "saving the climate", in reality distribution of wealth from the bottom to the top.

When I made this thread I didn't intent it to be about Musk, I didn't make the link between all of his companies, but it does all make sense in a way....

I think the Chinese are trying to put up their own satellite grid but getting a lot of sh*t over it. Read about it yesterday but can't say much about it out of the top of my head

logical consequence if somebody doesn´t want someone else being the owner and spreader of "the only truth". Especially if you are running a dictatorship and need to spread your own truth to keep your dictatorship alive. I guess not too far in the future we will see how companies and nations shot down opposing satellites which could disturb the own "truth spreading" via satellite internet.

This right here is the error in your reasoning. I have starlink at my house purely because we don't have a good working internet grid right here on the ground. Connection here was terrible. 20mb/s on a good day, with constant drop outs. With starlink I have around 200mb/s with almost no drop outs. I'm far from the only person in this situation.

I don't think there's a conspiracy here. Starlink is there to solve a problem, and while expensive, it does solve that problem. Having said that, I will switch to a proper fibre connection if anyone ever gets around to making that available where I live.
