Difficulty swallowing pills.

I feel your pain! I have never in my life been able to swallow a pill, not even the small ones!

I always ask my doc if the medication is available in powder or liquid form, because the pill, I can't do. My pharmacist gave me a pill crusher, it's a small plastic thing that you put the pill in, then you turn on the lid and the pill gets crushed in to a fine powder. I then mix it in a table spoon with yogurt or pudding and swallow that (yes, you can still taste it, but it's better then choking).
My doc said that if I do that, to make sure to drink an entire glass of water after it so it all goes down because some meds can cause inflammation to your throat

At certain ages , most people's esophagus starts weakening .
The swallow reflex doesn't work as well as it used to .
(Nuthin else does either)

Maybe try a bit of olive oil with it so it slides on down ?

To swallow a pill, take with food. Chew chew chew chew until you’re ready to swallow then toss the pill in quick as you can and swallow it down.
