I'm sure that many of y'all that have been on ats at least as long as I have can tell there has been a gradual drop in IQ and/or honest wisdom.

Many of us have seen things just disappear if the powers that be don't want us to know.

So it's safe to say if it doesn't disappear, there is a dishonest reason. Smoke screen!

For example, Alex Jones gets banned and sued over seth rich or sandy um.... hook. Remember when Hannidy had almost lost his radio show over taking about Seth?

I was there at sandy crooked when I was a fireman. That info is no where to be found as it really was. Trust.

How many countless others have been banned all over the internet and/or the white house lawn.

Now there is where the real truth is - right where it ain't!

So if they are allowing AI, Russia, aliens, corruption, etc. But banning "some" things. I can't even find things I've seen on bulletin boards and the early internet nowadays.

So what I'm saying is, if you're researching the internet for info, they don't care, you'll fund it. If you can't find it, it's got a good chance of it being far more important. In turn that means a lot of we think we know was just to keep our interest so we don't look over there in the fog where we can't see clearly.

I still visit ATS nearly everyday, but there is an increase of folks that are right, but just lbehind the times or lead astray because the info is able to be found easily - and the truth they want to keep hidden is....well.... not on YouTube.

That is what I call having a "Duh Moment"

Unless you don't know how to read, I understand.

Don't scratch your head. I was making joke. Hahaaa

I think we need to get back the old culture of ATS where there was a lot more intelligence and/or reliable info that was the opposite of what we were led to and/or allowed to know.

No more almost/kinda above top secret.....

No more bullshivitz! Bring back old school intelligence!!!!! Or play more video games/TV

Have a good day/night

Bye/hi

The problem with this is fatigue.

Most of us are tired and just plain fed up. Tye truth is dead, buried under a huuuuge layer of official censorship and psy-ops.

We arent going to know the truth until the great revelation.

We live in a post truth world, the CIA has achieved its mission of making sure that everything we believe and know is a lie.

all i can say is question everything. these days are darker then most ive ever seen. the air is just thick with lies. and when the DOJ and the media itself is untrustworthy then we all have a serious problem.

You post this as if it is a new thing, it is not. This is what TPTB does, and has done since it became TPTB probably soon there after the start of the industrial age.

It's such a convoluted mess now, I SERIOUSLY doubt there is any way to sort it out without it being bent to fit an "agenda"., but respectfully at least ATSers are semi-engaged. The masses the real masses don't even give a crap about being manipulated and lied to, as long as they get thier daily dose of social media, and keep their crap job, so they can get a few useless basic consumer "luxuries" HD TV, a new car, new phone, etc. and still go to Starbucks.

I think we're chugging along with some decent site improvements and no MudPit.

The ATS you want begins with you. That's evident by your OP. The MudPit not being quite the factor it was claimed to be, what'll be tried next?

I know!! Let's form a two party system and vote a....

This would be good to see. Real good!

I have seen so much information vanish from the surface Internet I wonder if it is stored somewhere on the darknet ? .

The story from 2011 time of how many had died in the EU from Statins (tablets ) in a 5 year period 800,000 I believe well that vanished , and with AI patrolling the net a story can vanish in minutes the video gone in the blink of a eye or the refreshing of a browser and if you plug a hard drive up to a windows machine it will delete any pictures ,videos ,programmes or what ever it deems not safe .

Seen it all

I'd sure like to see a return to "tending your thread"... not you specifically, but generally.

How often do we see goady posts where the author drops a bomb and never posts again? Or posters who just don't bother replying to other posters? Or only respond to those who agree and laud their oh-so-profound wisdom and insight. It's more than just rude.

It seems like too many folks just want to use the boards to spew their nastiness and hatefulness and hurtfulness have their say and then just walk away. They don't want discussion. They don't want to share ideas or solutions. They don't want to hear any other ideas or solutions. They just want to crap all over the board and strut their stuff like the cock o'the walk.

I've come to the point where I figure that by now anybody who wants to realize what's going down does, and anybody who doesn't see it simply does not want to see it or is - in some instances - just too simple minded.

The former are experiencing a kind of culture shock as we are inundated with a false reality that holds no sense and no water whatsoever. In this context, I have pretty much given up on trying to explain what I see to anyone who hasn't already grasped the reality.

The latter are either really simple minded or have embraced cognitive dissonance as their status quo.

The vast numbers that have embraced cognitive dissonance would go far in explaining the apparent rise in social tensions and general mental instability that is apparent among humanity, as the embracing of a cognitively dissonant world-view induces a heavy negative psychological payload.

I think people's intentions are good by providing the information or story, but perhaps they're not great writers, or they're introverted even on the web.

ATS can be intimidating intellectually.

We have great minds here and as we Deny Ignorance (quite harshly at times mind you) we inadvertently create a "why risk the ridicule" scenario for some folks.

If you're ridiculed, mocked, shamed and sent on your way, it sets a tone.

You may be right there. The OP may be hoping others with more knowledge or understanding can help them further understand the topic they are posting about. And that's fair enough... but if someone does respond, then the OP should also reply. It's a discussion forum, and discussion requires multiple parties actually discussing. Even if it's just a simple, "thank you. good to know!"

Well, yes, but it's certainly not as intimidating as it once was, and we don't have as many great minds as we once did, and I miss that.

Yes, it does set a tone, and I think that's deliberate. No one wants to take the time and energy to compose and post a thoughtful and reasonable remark only for a dozen dumbass remarks that add absolutely nothing to the conversation. Much less for it to be ignored entirely. I think there are many great minds who just stopped posting because it's almost impossible to have a thoughtful and reasonable discussion here these days, which is what many of us want.

I can go to any playground and hear 5-year-olds calling names. There's no challenge or mental stimulation there.

Since the inception of the internet there has been a war between the ones who can see "conspiracy theorists" and the powers that be "twats"

The powers that be have cleverly brain washed the masses "sheeple" In order to succeed against the ones who can see.

That's what has changed, forums like these now attract the brainwashed where once upon a time only the curious, the open minded, and of course the ones who can see would visit these types of forums.

I think the dumbing down, brainwashing, and indoctrination has worked far better than even its purveyors believed it would.

Bruce Lee once said, "Don't correct a fool, he will hate you for it. Correct a wise man, he will thank you for it."

One of the greatest minds and most eloquent orators of all time was Marcus Tullius Cicero. Some of his quotes are fit for contemplation in this thread.

"Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error."

"It is the peculiar quality of a fool to perceive the faults of others and to forget his own."

"When you have no basis for an argument, abuse the plaintiff."

"Orators are most vehement when their cause is weak."

"I prefer tongue-tied knowledge to ignorant loquacity."

"To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child."

"Nothing is more unreliable than the populace, nothing more obscure than human intentions, nothing more deceptive than the whole electoral system."

Emphasis added to those quotes that apply so well to these forums on far too many occasions. As you can see, these are clearly not new concepts. These are things public discourse has been dealing with all throughout recorded history. We haven't changed that much here at ATS. The world is changing around us, and not in a good way, but many of us still maintain that the real battle is with ignorance and blind servitude to a corrupt master, not the unfortunate populace that has been deceived by baubles and promises.

Who is the implied "they" and who is the "us"?

They the "The Powers That Be" and us "The Pleabs"?

I can't do that. It's living in fear. It's allowing yourself to be a perpetual victim to a boogeyman oppressor that lurks in shadows. It's like applying a permanent negative handicap and using it as a justification every time you can't break par.

Why not just say, "Oh I was never going to win, because it's all rigged against me, anyway!"

And then sometimes go listen to even more underhanded and agenda driven people as to what you're being lied to about.

If rabble rousing about "their" agenda is being fed to me by someone mainstream like The New York Post, it's probably just a party thing. Like red yelling about the evils of cyan.

And if that's waking me up, where's that freaking blue pill. How do I make the deal that turns in Morpheus to stay in the illusionary world and eat steak?

"They" want me to eat bugs is another popular one.

I don't see the personal benefit of living in fear "they" are going to turn that steak into insects and green goo until cows are made illegal.

I can't even see California doing that. The cows may be made bilingual, but that's about it por el cambio progresivo de vaca. Especially considering how valued and protected/promoted our in-state dairy industry is. For 6 months we just watched that commercial.

I see all the fear of things "they" are doing, but "they" are just Millenials and Gen Z PC kids that can vote now. They can deteriorate like San Fransisco if they want their super-majority of super-liberal governance in place.

The pendulum of opinion swung really far left, including in the millenial/Gen Z workforce of social media companies. And then Musk bought Twitter, and stopped it on at least one platform. That was the moment the lefthand swing stopped and started going back right in my opinion.

"They" are just an aberration of a consensus opinion in flux.

And I still have 8 steakhouses walking distance from me, so there's that keeping things mostly "business as usual". Until the cows get outlawed there's no need to worry about "them".

The leftist liberal takeover is as related to said pendulum as will be the successful reclamation by the right. One could argue it's neither a takeover nor a reclamation.

I remember that story about the woman being raped well within screaming distance of people that could come to her aid but didn't because they assumed someone else would. There are good people out there, they shine everyday.

It is hard to read folks these days making everyone hyper vigilant and suspicious which leads to misreading individuals. I think the police are having the hardest time, but you can't blame them. People are twacked.

As far as our electoral system? "System" is an ancient Roman word for the sewer. I think that's entirely appropriate.
