Also, it gave the Wagner Group the perfect cover to relocate their forces to the northern boundaries of the war without causing any alarm to the Ukrainian forces.

This is my thinking exactly. You don't just say "Oops! Nevermind" after starting an armed uprising, and the government doesn't just say "OK, it's all cool." This was some kind of psyop.

And given that the end result is that Wagner is now within spitting distance of Kiev, I think Ukraine/the West got played for fools.

Does Putin really need $6 billion dollars that bad.

Prigozhin made Putin look weak. How could that be worth $6B?

To whom? Us....? Why should they care what we think?

I think we have enough issues with our own leaders making us looking like idiots.

How do you know where they are?

It's being widely reported. Belarus is now "offering asylum" to Wager. Kiev is only about 100km from the Belarussian border.

I know. Asylum to Prigozhin.

I meant, where are the rest of the WG?

twitter.com...

Camp being built to house up to 8000 WG in Belarus.

But it's 200 km from Ukrainian border. Closer to Minsk.

Perhaps there are other plans for them than Kyiv?

Something I can contribute - sourced from General David Petraeus' LinkedIn... obviously keep in mind the source and his motivations that could influence what he chooses to share surrounding the narrative:

25 June 2023: Key highlights of this evening's Ukraine Update by the great team at the Institute for the Study of War:

- Russian sources speculated on the deal mediated by Belarusian dictator Lukashenko to end the Wagner Group’s armed rebellion. Russian opposition outlet Meduza reported that Prigozhin initially tried to get in touch with the Russian Presidential Administration as Wagner fighters moved north towards Moscow, but that Putin refused to speak with him.

- Meduza noted that, once Prigozhin saw the lack of military support for Wagner’s actions and changed his mind on Wagner’s prospects, the Kremlin turned to negotiations.

- Prigozhin’s whereabouts cannot be verified.

- The specifics of the deal are still unclear, and it remains to be seen what the Kremlin intends to do with Wagner personnel and if Wagner fighters will cooperate.

- The implications of the Lukashenko-Prigozhin deal for the leadership of the Russian MoD remain ambiguous. Some Russian sources, suggest that the Kremlin may be considering changes to MoD leadership.

- Russia's Defense Minister Chief of the General Staff have not been heard from . Some sources suggest that the governor of Tula Oblast, former security officer to Putin, may replace Shoigu as the Defense Minister.

- Wagner forces continued to withdraw to their bases on June 25, but the Kremlin’s concept for leveraging Wagner fighters remains unclear. The Kremlin apparently intends to maintain certain elements of Wagner’s manpower rather than demobilize them, although the future of Wagner’s structure are unclear.

- Further details emerged on the composition of the Wagner units approaching Moscow on June 24, indicating Prigozhin would likely have struggled in an active conflict in Moscow without additional support.

- Prigozhin may have become amenable to negotiations as his forces drew nearer to Moscow and time was running out to garner the necessary military support for an armed conflict with the MoD.

- The ultranationalist Angry Patriots Club held an event in Moscow on June 25 and espoused longstanding criticisms against Putin and the Russian military leadership, suggesting that the Kremlin will not immediately begin cracking down on antagonistic ultranationalist groups in the aftermath of Prigozhin’s rebellion.

- Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front on June 25. Ukraine's Defense Minister stated on Fox News that the main assault of the counteroffensive has not yet started.

- Russian forces’ ability to conduct offensive and defensive operations in Ukraine does not appear to have been substantially impacted by Wagner’s June 23-24 armed rebellion.

- Ukrain's [sic] Main Military Intelligence Directorate Head warned that Russia has finished preparations for an attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, mining the ZNPP’s cooling pond and moving vehicles with explosives to four of the six ZNPP power units.

To whom? Us....?

To the world. That includes Russians.

Prigohzin has been openly criticizing the MoD for a year now. That's simply an indirect insult to Putin. Prigohzin went so far as to call out the justification for the war as nothing more than a lie.

That 6.2 billion is probably in a numbered Swiss account at this point. Probably deposited just prior to Pregozhin's advance toward Moscow.

It's reported that the entire Wagner forces, around 20 to 25 thousand strong, didn't participate. Only around 8,000, or maybe 2 brigades.

I don't think 2 brigades could have pulled off a coup such as is being reported. There is definitely something fishy about all of this.

Also consider that now there are over 50,000 troops (including the now repurposed Wagner battalion) in Belarus within a few hundred miles of Kiev. This problem is getting worse by the day. Hope all of you bought some anti-radiation pills.

What, you think they can't just drive to the border?

At this point, I dare say it's really damn obvious that Wagner is gearing up to strike Ukraine from the north.
Of course, it may be that the real point is to force Ukraine to keep a bunch of troops up there, instead of down south where they're needed more.

Of course they could.

It would hardly be a surprise, though?

Look what happened last time Russia tried that.

Why so close to Minsk is my question.

Exactly, and the world watched as Putin had to cut a deal with Prigohzin to stop The Wagner Groups march on Moscow.

How does an accounting error of the US government where they over value aid given to Ukrain lead to money appearing on bank accounts?

This is something that the OP and those making claims about Swiss bank accounts have failed to address.

Do they really believe this six billion odd was sent as cash?

It's obvious from the OP that this was an accounting exercise for the value of actual stuff sent.

It's actually quite disengenuos.

I have said multiple times I have no sources. I even believe there will never believe any sources for this. It is my gut feeling as my government is completely corrupt.

Also, I will not just blame the Ukraine. Once again I have said this multiple times and I do mean it. I do not care who wins this war. I just do not want my country involved in it. And the reason I have brought up the dumb things the Ukraine has done during this is to HIGHLIGHT that our govt has been pushing them into doing these dumb things. At the very least definitely advocating for them. Is that such a bad thing? I suppose it is to alot of people.
