19 years ago...

...I decided to join ATS and start my forum activity.

I thought it could be interesting and it would be a good way of practicing my English, specially written, as I never write in English outside Internet forums.

In the last few years things have been shaky regarding ATS' future, and there was a time when I thought I would be able to reach 18 years as a member, but things changed enough to allow me celebrate my 19th ATS anniversary.

From a personal point of view and from the point of view of someone the loves ATS, I hope to be here for many years, let's hope what is wrong is put right and ATS will be an active source of alternative information.

Thank you to everyone (specially the departed friends) that have made these 19 years good enough for me to want to remain here another 19 (although I doubt I will live that long)!

i think a lot of older members still lurk but, post less since the transition from being on a computer to being on a cell phone.

It's much easier to go off on long diatribes that way.

I thought Blimey 19 years is a long time,then I checked and found I have been here for 18.
It really doesn't seem that long ago.

Time is speeding up as I get older I swear.

I have never had any issues communicating with you, the language barrier doesn't seem to be an issue. Both of us use English as a second language, My first being idiot, (It's a difficult language to learn, but once it's lernt, it's lernt.)

You have been consistent in being a rational voice for truth, and on top of that, you usually back up your points with facts, which is a rare thing these days. ATS is a better place having you here, and even if nobody tells you, you are appreciated.

Congrats. I've been here for a long time too, long before this account. And years before that, I was reading various threads that came up in my Google searches on conspiracy and supernatural topics. I became so familiar with the site through research that I decided to sign up. This was the old ATS site, of course, before it moved. Google has made it harder to discover content on ATS but I hope the site finds new ways to reach more people and remain a force for truth, knowledge and free speech online.

Your contributions have been consistently respectful and of good quality. I did not value your input when I was cantankerous and younger.

Now I have respect for you as I learned to understand how to handle different points of view, especially when communicated as you do.

It still feels like home when I see members like you posting.
