This is out there for free:

LOL so much this, thats one reason I wouldn't have wanted to go on the ride, is because it's essential all there in cameras videos, and scans.

Would much rather go somewhere less explored and unseen but that's just me. Regardless the more I read the less likely I'd get in the vessel at anything over human diver depth.

The real question is what's going on while everyone is focusing on the lost submarine?

My interest in this story has always been in this quote here.

Where is the other hand while this one throws fire for the crowd?

U.S. Navy Heard What It Believed Was Titan Implosion Days Ago
Wall Street Journal

Explore Audio Center
A top secret military acoustic detection system designed to spot enemy submarines first heard what the U.S. Navy suspected was the Titan submersible implosion hours after the submersible began its voyage, officials involved in the search said.

The Navy began listening for the Titan almost as soon as the sub lost communications, according to a U.S. defense official. Shortly after the submersible’s disappearance Sunday, the U.S. system detected what it suspected was the sound of an implosion near the debris site discovered Thursday and reported its findings to the Coast Guard commander on site, U.S. defense officials said.

While the Navy couldn’t say definitively the sound came from the Titan, the discovery played a role in narrowing the scope of the search for the vessel before its debris was discovered Thursday, the officials said.

“The U.S. Navy conducted an analysis of acoustic data and detected an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” a senior U.S. Navy official told The Wall Street Journal in a statement. “While not definitive, this information was immediately shared with the Incident Commander to assist with the ongoing search and rescue mission.”

Good question. If the US Navy knew that the sub had imploded on Sunday, then what was causing the sounds detected, and why waste all the money on the search for them?

Maybe to overshadow the Hunter Biden, slap on the wrist, news that came out recently? Maybe?

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

There was a lot of machinery in the area searching for the sub. I'm guessing picking up another ship/equipment.

The biggest takeaway for me is that the company eschewed "uninspirational" old white men with real world experience for a big team of equity hires.

sad part about rush saying he didn't want a bunch of old uninspired white men running the show is,
he wasn't exactly a spring chicken at 61 and and was the main driving force of the company.
not only that, old uninspired white men still have a recorded of no deaths in a submersible for 35 years, and old/young inspired submersible builder now hold the record for being the first to cuase death in 35 years.

Thank goodness Josh Gates dodged a bullet on this one,

It would have been even more of a tragedy than it already was.

dodged in how, another episode of another series, where he doesn't prove or disprove sh@@, or dying? or was that sarcasm
Josh Gates is another version of TV click bait. i tried to watch his first two series giving him the benefit of doubt. but in both it was the same sh@@ over and over never proving anything one way or the other, and bad acting pretending they saw something.

Now that it's all but confirmed it has imploded, will the search continue until they locate the wreckage, and if they do will a further effort be made to retrieve it?

I imagine it will be an operation akin to raising the Big Piece.

Seeing a lot of jokes and disrespect on other sites.

People have lost their lives.

Common respect and decency at a minimum.

Way to Keep it Classy ATS...

Meh, rich people played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. The CEO (who died) purposefully fired experienced people from his team because they were "50 year old white guys with military backgrounds" and essentially replaced them with diversity hires...ya reap what you sow.

I haven't shed a tear. Nor will I.

Now...how about all those Ukrainian kids getting slaughtered for Team America?

A Portuguese millionaire that was a friend of Hamish Harding was to go on this voyage and he even had a reservation for some months, but decided not to go when he got the information about the submarine and considered it was not safe.

I've laughed at some of those memes, but not for the sake of the people who lost their lives. Yes, that is tragic.

But I don't think it out of line to mock the hell out of woke morons who kill people as a direct result of their retarded woke ways. It's no different than mocking retards like the mayors of Chicago, San Francisco, New York, etc. over the crime, violence and deaths that are rampant in those woke liberal hellholes.

Ocean Gate is a forever joke as far as I'm concerned.

One must wonder just how inspired he is now.

:

Electing to use a carbon fiber composite hull, instead of steel, just added to the retardation. The tragedy is more about the sheer stupidity involved in some of the decisions made involving people's lives.

The interface between the Ti end caps and the composite tube would be a suspect area. It seems like they use windshield urethane adhesive to seal it up.

Energy release of about 230 megajoules for the depth and given surface area = 55kg TNT

I wouldn't go myself unless many others went safely before me, considering this is not the case what surprises me the most is that a man decided to take his son. I certainly would not be taking my kid.
