Slide

As a guitar player do you ever slip into the world of dobro, steel, opentunings?

What kind of slide do you use, favorite tuning, instrument used, if electric...amp, or other efx u use and the music you play.

Personally I like blue glass slides cut off a bottle of SkYY. Open G and E, Dobro and a warped neck Gibson acoustic I raised the action on, run thru a Mesa Boogie and a big muff, sound hole mic/LR Baggs.

I usually play standup but love the open tuning guitar vibe.

As far as hard rock goes, one of my favorites slide intros ever.

I play a Les Paul with Marshall amp with a glass slide when I feel like sliding.
