I watched it, Trump did not announce he'd pay for anything...it was someone else. The restaurant should not have to pay with their reputation though, that's sad.

I think you may find Trump twice declared "Food for everyone!"

And then left without buying food for anyone.

Not really any dispute about the fact of the matter or what went down.

As to how many people were there or wanted food, kind of beside the point, as anyone with half a brain can clearly establish, it's Trump's repeated claims and lies that are of concern.

Stab in the dark all the same, and considering they are attending a restaurant that sells food, I'm going to go with "everyone".

If you walk into a restaurant and say "are you ready, food for everyone" twice no less.

The implication is that you will pay.

And that was not "someone else" that was Trump, plain as day for everyone to hear who then did the off without paying for food for anyone.

Well I don't interpret it that way and because no food was paid for in the end, why bother saying anything when one has no intention of following through? What was that about any way, did he expect someone else to pick up the tab? To be fair, he did not emphatically state food for everyone, I'm buying, so there is that - it's just more of the same from him - vagueness. It's a shame the restaurant's reputation has to suffer in any way.

Actually Andy, I've been mulling over the entire situation from start to finish and I am positive someone else said food for everyone. The voice seemed to come from off camera to the right. I find it plausible because Trump was saying food for everyone, food for everyone, are you ready? to someone specifically to the right of the camera. We need a video from start to finish.

There is no real doubt about the context far as i can establish or the fact that Trump left without paying for food for anyone.

I suppose Trump is indeed rather xenophobic with all his MAGA nonsense.

But in this instance, i can't quite see how his xenophobic attitude applies to his lies about food for everyone.

End of the day Trump was only in attendance for 10 mins or so before he chose to depart.
