Democrats can only silence opposition. They have no argument and no morals or standards that can face scrutiny. Censorship and cancelation are the only way they're heard.

it's not due to close minds constructive and meaningfull discourse can't be had it's due to the lack of complexity thereof.
If such a complex topic can be summed up with: "its the commies" what kind of meaningfull conversation do you expect. It's not that they don't want to it's just, they can't...

But woke used to stand for all of us here on ATS, those seeking answers. It used to mean open minded, curious, willing to learn, willing to expand horizons, a seeker woke to a different perspective, a person with a deep inner life. Now it stands for close mindedness, inability to listen to other people's opinions, stubbornness and LGBTQWhateverComesNext movement.
Definition changed and we feel different about it. As a word in itself it creates tension. It helps to see some as objects, mere asleep sheep. A recipe for a disaster as we can clearly see, and yep we are sick of this sh*t. Woke machine is losing its momentum finally, unfortunately not before it done serious damage to LGBWhateverHaveYou community.
Their take on Woke made me despise them, just like the monster of Black lives matter movement made me racist.
All comes down to individuals. Nothing wrong in being who we are, either gay or one legged clown, as long as we're happy and don't hurt anyone, but don't tell me I am asleep or we will get bloody angry

It's a very good point made, me thinks.

I guess the only thing lacking is a little self reflection which would show that both side apply the techniques described.

It takes two to tango. It's a great dance so far, but sometimes I wonder if people really enjoy it...
