Why isn't it in recent posts?

I just posted a new thread and when I click recent I do not see it there. Why not? This is the thread.

It's there. Right under this one.

You have to press the "Off Topic" button. Recent will automatically take you to the above top secret threads. Below top secret, off topic threads like the one you posted your thread in goes into the "Off Topic" section.

certain forums are not included in the recent threads lists

You will also be able to find it in the "Off Topics" section:

Post from the Chit-Chat forums do not show in recent you have to search them out in your myATS tab .

I never create a thread in one of those forums because they are back waters off topic. Limited viewership.

You just have to press on the "Off Topics" tab to see a list of recent "Off Topic" threads:



When you press recent posts, just press on "Off Topic."

It wasn't moved.

When you press on Recent threads, just press on the "off-topic" it will show you a list of most recent "off-topic" threads:



In the screen shot the Recent threads is open, from there press "off-topic."


ETA:

On the smartphone version of the website you will just see the smiley face and not the words "off-topic" as well.

Not every topic refreshes in "recent" option, but will appear under "new". Regional politics, music, sports, etc do not show up as recent. It's a two-tiered topic system.

In this screenshot (copied from the first answer) notice where the red arrow is pointing to a smiley face. Press on that. That will pull up the most recent topics on the "off-topic" section of the website:

As any moderator reading this thread can see it seems no one has any clue that "off-topic" button exists. And even after sharing it numerous times on this same thread, they still don't know it does.

It just goes to show how counterintuitive it really is. I'm about to throw my hands up. I keep showing them, but no one seems to understand.
