Sands of Time - SOT2023

Sands of Time

Sand trickles twixt fingers,
Anointing its fallen brethren;
Nourishing the barren land,
Draping wanton wheaten veils;
Suffocating the miserly desolation.

Obstinately, I trudge onwards,
Forsaken, I rage against time.

Time affords no respite,
Inexorably... ebbing away,
Metronomically... marching on,
Eternally... transcending all.

O: Obsess completely, before you ride,
F: Forever I loved you, after you died,

T: Today you run with a new vibe,
I: Inner soft sands change with time,

Brilliant! Thanks for taking the time to do that, JJ.

It's a fun exercise to try acrostic poetry. Some may find it limiting, but I think it's liberating; I find it difficult to do poetry from scratch... this way I feel like I have a guide or a head start.

I love the funky gif, it's like a futuristic hourglass.
