Correct me if I'm wrong but they mentioned nothing about the Gov't owning the property. It looks like they were walking around the parameter. There's been other teams on another show that tried to get clearance to get inside the parameter and got shot down. They didn't talk about the history of how and why would the Gov't take over the deed for the land. They have to address this. I've been there and the sign at the gate clearly says Do not enter property of the U.S Government.

According to Bustamante, the land was not sold but seized.
“Paul [Beban, the investigative reporter] opened that question — ‘What happened here with the changeover in ownership of Bradshaw Ranch?’ What we discovered in official government records — state government and federal government records — is that there was never a willful transaction of the land,” Bustamante said, claiming the ranch was seized through eminent domain. John Bradshaw neither confirmed nor denied that the ranch was seized, saying, “It’s complicated.”
The land is currently being used by the Southwest Experimental Garden Array from Northern Arizona University.

It was Robert Bigelow that actually owned it in conjunction with the feds wherein they did do investigating and came up with no real answers other than the usual orbs and other oddities.
The place has fascinated me for some years. In 2011 I interviewed a direct relative of Kenneth and Edith Myers. We had a rather interesting conversation off the air about the Sherman Ranch. According to him, a rather famous aviator that you would recognize visited the Meyer's a lot. His claim was that "uncle X" had an experience there that damaged him emotionally and he was never the same. There was no way to verify that claim so I usually keep it in the off air lockbox.

Found something interesting on the subject of ownership (of Bradshaw Ranch).
