This isn't so much a rant as an observation. But it is one that really hit home, for myself and my wife, in the most unusual way.
There was a tv show I wanted to watch from another country. I found a video source that included the nation of origin commercial broadcasts. My wife and I both started to watch. The first set of commercials come on. Usually one, or both, of us grab the remote and either turn the sound off or change the channel during commercials - they are so insulting and stupid we cant stand them. We didn't. The second set of commercials came on and again, neither of us reached for the remote. As the third set of commercials was about to begin we both said we were actually looking forward to the commercials - something neither of us had ever said before, not even during the Superbowl.
After the third commercial break we realized what was happening. In all those commercials, there were no mixed race couples. No gay couples. No black people looking like ridiculous caricatures of some bs image black people are supposed to portray. Races and genders were well represented. There were no obvious agendas or political championing. Children acted like children. Black people were just people. Couples were just couples. From one end to the other, it was just people being people.
It was then that I realized how badly we are being programmed on a daily basis. I have acknowledged on many occasions in the past that the commercials in the US are pathetically woke. But it never hit home as hard as seeing three full length commercial breaks with nothing but people being people. Maybe some of them were gay, maybe not. They didn't insist on telling me and I didn't ask. It was the perfect arrangement. Why is that so hard for US advertisers to understand?
There is hope for traditional American values and the expression of same. Just not in America while we suffer under the oppressive weight of woke media. I thought for some time when making that statement, and I stand by it. The woke liberal left are the personification of oppression in modern America. Enjoy the fascism while it lasts.

You did make it sound as if you and your wife enjoyed these foreign tv commercials over American ones, because they evidently showed solely caucasian actors.
This is what I said:

I think you are seeing what you want to see, not what is there.
I don't hate the people. I hate the agenda that wants to shove them in everyone's face all day every day.
The only time I get truly angry is when any of these specialty groups targets children: teaching crt in elementary schools, trans time for 5 year olds, etc. And I will never think it is wrong to be angry at that. Never.

So you don't like Mixed race couples, gay couples or black people... got it. Glad you enjoyed the segregated programming.

Just what is critical race theory anyway?
Critical race theory is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that race is a social construct, and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies.
The basic tenets of critical race theory, or CRT, emerged out of a framework for legal analysis in the late 1970s and early 1980s created by legal scholars Derrick Bell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Richard Delgado, among others.
A good example is when, in the 1930s, government officials literally drew lines around areas deemed poor financial risks, often explicitly due to the racial composition of inhabitants. Banks subsequently refused to offer mortgages to Black people in those areas.

You don't seem to know what CRT is.

What Is Critical Race Theory, and Why Is It Under Attack?
This is not a theory being taught to elementary students, and likely no one else besides law students and possibly some college students.
What grade junior high schools have taught is social history and tolerance. I think it makes total sense to teach racial, religious and ethnic tolerance from a young age, and by junior high to learn about the US's history of slavery and indentured servitude, as well as the history of the Civil Rights movement -- and by that I mean for Blacks, other ethnic groups, women and gays. Some of that, such as the basics of the Civil Rights movement and the history of segregation and slavery should also be taught at younger ages. Not in a way to make the white kids feel bad about themselves, but for them to understand how it was for various minorities in the past.
What is not right -- and I've been at the butt end of this, but only in grad school and at a particularly woke employer -- is telling young males that they are responsible for the long-term oppression of women and telling young caucasians of both sexes that they are responsible for the long-term oppression of minorities. Kids should be taught to respect other people of all walks of life, and to respect the opposite sex as well. This includes kids being made aware that sometimes men fall in love with men, and women fall in love with women, and that's why some of their school mates may have two live-at-home parents of the same sex.
I'm really put off by the laws, such as the one in Florida, that allows one parent to complain about a book, which he or she may not even have read but only heard about, and have that book banned from the school library. That's censorship and tyranny by a minority of one person.
On the other hand, I think drag story hour and introducing the concept of transsexuality to pre-school or elementary school students is ridiculous. In fact I don't know why drag story hour is even a thing. Why not Bondage and Discipline story hour then? But around the age of puberty, about 6th grade or possibly 5th these days, kids should start being taught a bit about sexuality, and that all people don't fit the conventional norm. In that way kids who don't fit the norm won't feel like their pariahs.
I'm for teaching tolerance and understanding, but see no reason why extreme kinks need to be shown to kids in school. Although maybe showing them Rocky Horror Picture show in high school would be appropriate, although for all I know that movie may be considered transphobic in this day and age.
