Today I saw an article about a San Francisco activist who is fleeing due to crime, drugs and for his personal safety. It seems the crime has reached into his apartment one too many times, and he says the streets are full of zombies high on drugs. He is afraid of his neighborhood and is scared to go out or to even be in his apartment, it has been broken into so many times, and he has had to fend off criminals in the streets too often.
www.foxnews.com...

I have family in Seattle and lived there for awhile in my youth. It WAS a fun city to live in and I walked everywhere, alone, without fear or a care in the world. Now, I am terrified of the city and will fly in and fly out to see family, but won't go anywhere in the city. My friends who live there say they are terrified by the homeless encampments, crime, and drugs in their once lovely neighborhood of quaint houses. The last few times I was there the underpasses in the city were piled high with garbage, homeless tent cities were everywhere and out in the open. My family has moved out into the countryside and won't go into the city anymore due to the crime, drug addicts, feces and urine on the streets, even right next to the famous wharf.

I also have family in LA who had a homeless encampment in their backyard. The police would do NOTHING, they refused to move them or do anything. It wasn't until their neighborhood flooded that the homeless encampment left. In LA too crime is out of control, theft is tolerated by the police, homelessness is tolerated by the police, open drug use is tolerated by the police who are instructed to do nothing about any of it.

What do all these cities have in common? Their state governments are run by liberals and progressives, their city governments are run by liberals and progressives. These government entities have instituted the policies that liberals and progressives have been demanding for years and are now in full force, leaving crime victims to fend for themselves. The criminals and drug addicts are "understood" while victims are told there is nothing that can be done and too bad, so sad they are victims, now go away and think about what you did to cause this to happen.

I understand Portland is the same if not worse from what I read in the news about it.

People who are fleeing these cities, please don't.

Please don't come to my red state if you are going to insist on and vote for the very same liberal/progressive policies, legislation and laws that caused you to flee out of terror where these policies, legislation and laws were passed.

Know this red states don't want you if you keep voting to "understand" and "sympathize" with criminals, leaving victims to fend for themselves and saying too bad, so sad, your racism is what caused you to be victimized.

Know this red states don't want you if you keep voting for policies that encourage homeless encampments in the yards of homeowners and laws that forbid police from keeping families safe in their homes.

Know this red states don't want you if you want to decriminalize open drug use and set aside public areas for people to shoot up and die in public for children to see and passerby's to be horrified and accosted legally and with impunity.

If you are a died in the wool, always voted liberal or progressive and have TDS and think conservatives are evil people, then for God's sake don't move to a red state. Stay where you are or move to another blue city with a blue state government. Red states don't want the kind of environment that liberal policies and voters have created.

I know you don't want red state residents to move to your blue state either. I think 99.9% of conservatives wouldn't even dream of moving to a state/city run by liberals and progressives these days, it is far too dangerous, and not a place where conservatives would want to take their children let alone raise them. Nor do conservatives want their children to attend blue state government run public schools where math/science/reading scores have plummeted to all time lows, while teaching sexuality, LGBTQP+, and CRT have taken time that used to be spent on teaching basic subjects.

So if you have always been and will always be a liberal/progressive, please for your sake and mine, live in a state/city run by like minded people and stay away from conservative states and cities.

I'm afraid that that is like "asking" cancer to not migrate to other cells.

There is really only one way to stop the spread of a cancer; you have to starve it until it dies. And those bastards are pretty Hardy.

When "red states" put the fear of Hell into their domestic enemies, then they will heed the warning.

'Til then... Nice 1A.

this is what they asked/begged for. they voted in the soft on crime DA's, mayors and Governors.
If this is not what they wanted, perhaps it's time they rethink their voting habbits. But bringing those same thoughts and practices to red states and cities will only make them more of the same. It kind of solidifies the point of the electorate being kind of dumb.

Um, the title of your thread is backwards, but I agree with the sentiment expressed in your opening post.

Okay, never mind. You fixed it. 🙂

The opening post describes sections of Fort Worth exactly. The madness isn't exclusive to political segments. Nice try tho

You actually proved my point:

www.star-telegram.com...

On paper, Fort Worth is a Democratic city by about 54%-46%.

Fort Worth is a city that liberals have moved into and are voting for progressive and liberal policies. A good example of what I was talking about. Thanks!

It's almost as if the 'goverment' wants people addicted to drugs , feeling hopeless, homeless, and sick/dying.
But they wouldn't as they care so much about us and want us to prosper and thrive with a growing economy and a hopeful future , so no, they would never fund drug cartels , and they would never be in cahoots with big pharma to further the opiod crisis . Absolutely not!

Segregating people by their political beliefs won't fix this. Sure you can try and contain the problems but it does nothing to fix the actual problems. Personally I feel both political parties need to be de-radicalized. Your neighbors with Trump or pride flags are not your enemy. The people telling you your neighbors are the enemy are the real enemy.

One of the contributing factors that lead America to being the dominant global super power for many years was the equal application of traditional and progressive values. We shouldn't be required to make moral sacrifices for a political party. Many people like myself are disenfranchised because our political system requires us to automatically adhere to a list of preset guidelines that party subscribes to regardless if you agree with them or not.

For example.
I'm pro-1st and 2nd amendment, pro-choice, pro-cannabis, pro-border control, pro-gay, Anti-war, anti-grooming, anti-establishment to list a few. I will align with anyone to do good, and noone to do bad. So where does that leave people like myself?

Stuck sitting on the sidelines watching people get fooled into participating in a culture war gaslit by people who are waging a class war against us. Wake up people...

If we can't evolve past this dual polar political framework in this country and learn to work collectively again we will definitely collapse. Probably into a civil war. Neither the Democrats or Republicans are capable of running this country off their individual political beliefs alone regardless as much as they'd like you to think so.

Rather than simply telling someone they are not welcome we should have an open dialog with people to come to a mutual understanding. Much like how the people who founded this country envisioned it. It's why our ability to speak freely is protected first under our constitution.

More people voted for Trump in 2020 in California than 17 states combined.

Read that again.

What non-democratic/liberal city does not have a homeless or transient problem?

FYI for you liberals. Alabama will give you a year of probation and you'll have to pay about 2500 dollars for a first time marijuana possession charge. The second time they COULD charge you with a felony and lock you up for a year. Safe travels!

Parker served under Republican (INO?) Betsy Price for five years-the same Parker who spent nearly one million taxpayer dollars on the creation of a Diversity and Inclusion Department and appointed a liberal Democrat and former aid to extreme liberal Pete Buttigieg to head the effort.

It seems the conservative party is being co-opted by RINO's. Perhaps it's time to stop looking at the party badge they wear and start looking at the public record of what they do and what policies they support.

Taking a politicians word for anything is mistake number one. Voting for a career politician is mistake number two, and voting for any lawyer is just plain ignorant. Sure, they 'understand' better than us, because they write the convoluted, damaging laws that are destroying America one step at a time.

It's like the firmly progressive friends who already live in red states, keep voting for the destructive crap, and loudly wish they could move to blue states. When you ask them why they don't, most of the time it's because they can't afford to live there, and they'll admit that but refuse to see how the destructive crap they vote leads to that very issue.

Which ones need an actual poop tracking app to help you avoid stepping in human waste on the sidewalks like San Fran does? Nothing says democrat-induced third world like freakin' India making fun of your public sanitation problem.
