The United Nations is now involved in the American reparations movement. Is it now a done deal?

So history is racist now, along with math. Got it.

When are the Brits going to start talking about reparations for every ancestor of those who suffered under their empire? Do you think 5 million each would be sufficient?

It's not history though. It's claptrap.

That's a question you need to ask the UK Government, I am sure they will tell you. Would you like the e mail address ?

In the meantime i am sure you are more than happy to live in a country that was part of The British Empire and all that went with it.

That would make you a hypocrite unless you wish to move to a country that was never part of The British Empire. So what do you think ?

Err, never....and nor should we.

Do you think Italians should pay reparations for all the injustices and suffering that occurred during The Roman Empire?
What about China for The Mongols?
Or maybe the modern day ancestors of The Aztecs and the Incas for all the deaths they caused during the expansion of their empires?
Do you think Spain or France should pay reparations for the untold suffering they caused when they built and governed their respective empires?

The list of empires is very, very long as is the pain, death and suffering each and every one of them was responsible for.

Do you think 5 million each would be sufficient?

$1 is $1 too much.
The very idea and concept of reparations is stupid.

Where's the money going to come from? We're $32 trillion in the hole.

We are roughly a quadrillion USD in the hole if you look at all six of our ledgers.

15 times m. ore than the real estate value of the planet.

So we'll just print more and it will all work out...

give them mercury.

no pollution or green house gasses, plenty of sun for the solar panels

So this provision was added to the 14th Amendment to cut off the reparations talk at the pass. And make the Civil War a bad memory.

14th Amendment.
Section 4
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Confederate War Debt and Slavery Reparations were banned. Period. The 14th Amendment was the fix for all the problems arising out of General Order 15.

It clearly says slave owners were not to be paid for the loss of their slaves as they had been in England. It does not seem to have anything to say about reparations for having been a slave.

Not ever going to happen, but funny still the same...

My ancestry is Irish (slave) and Native American.

What will my reparations be, I wonder?

Will they give me North Carolina?

During the War of 1812, the US Army commissioned a Choctaw chief as a Brigadier General in the US army. His name was Pushmatawaha Mushlatubbee.

His last name sounds suspiciously like "muš Lietuvį" or "he will beat a Lithuanian."

It is possible various pirate groups were involved in trafficking European captives to the Eastern tribes.

The Democratic Socialist Nazi are now realizing they are running out of other peoples money and trying to figure out how to blame the American Republican party. It's going to get interesting.
