Is civilisation linear or cyclical

It's the same meaning neither linear or cyclic.

However various traditions and holidays would make it appear otherwise... As those are cyclic and based on another one is coming whether friends and family or even oneself will be dead or alive.

Such is the so called ides of 'March' That ushers in another Spring out of the land of the dead known as Winter... People went by solstices in those areas then as the day typically consisted of more of the same hunting and or gathering based on the seasons of change.

Encountering other people in the same pursuit meant a lot of hooting, rock tossing and pissing in the wind.

So as previously stated? Nothing has changed.
