Reports indicate Ukrainian forces are retaking ground around Bakhmut , one lucky Russian soldier was about to be bombed by a Ukrainian drone opperater when he made it clear he wanted no more part in the fighting , on seeing the soldiers pleas the drone operator withdrew his drone and returned it with a note for the Russian , follow me.

This video was released a couple of days ago so I apologise if it's already been posted but with all the death and destruction we have witnessed over the last year I find it heart warming that Ukrainian forces help this poor Russian out of the predicament he's in.

Ukrainian drone operator leads Russian soldier to safety after he surrendered near Bakhmut. A Ukrainian drone unit has released footage showing a Russian soldier surrendering near Bakhmut. The footage was released by the 30th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who are operating near the besieged city in eastern Ukraine. Filmed from the drone’s camera, the soldiers is seen in a trench pleading with the operator not to drop an explosive on him.

I have no hate for Russians only for the War Pigs who created this nightmare.

This whole war is such a waste of human life.

All to appease a Dictator who has dreams of expansion. Russia is the #1 nuclear power on the planet. No nation would or could invade Russia, especially Europe which barely has enough defensive forces let alone the ability to mount an offensive.

You can't be in a worse position than being a Russian soldier.
They've perfected the sowiet practice of keeping them in line with every trick in the book. At gun point into the meat grinder if necessary

No Nation wants to invade Russia , it is they who are an invading force.

I think your summation of European forces wrong , we have strong defensive and offensive forces although I hope they won't be needed to demonstrate that.

Gonna call BS on that statement...

Most threads you have created over the last year about the Ukraine conflict have been predominantly geared to make Russian soldiers look like incompetent drunk convicts raping and pillaging their way across Ukraine. Following the orders of some empire building madman.

Now you are just gonna act like some impartial observer here and blame the "war pigs"? On a thread crafted to make Russians look incompetent?

I'm curious who these "war pigs" you speak of are? I was under the impression this was all Putin's fault...

Should I break it to you now or do you want me to wait to till the dust settles? I'll give you a hint it's going about as well as the other offenses from Ukraine over the last 6 months.

ETA. Hopefully this Russian doesn't receive the same treatment at the hands of the Ukrainian forces the other POW have received.

This thread was created to show an act of humanity in an inhumane conflict.

The war pigs are Putin , Prigozhin and those in the Kremlin facilitating this war.

Quite well then , Russia have not made much if any progress in that time and now are once again being pushed back.

Hopefully this Russian doesn't receive the same treatment at the hands of the Ukrainian forces the other POW have received.

Or Ukrainian POWs have received at the hands of Russian troops , they didn't kill him on the battle field I see no reason they would after they helped him out of there.

May I remind you that on March 10th in another thread you posted this:

"Wrong like usual...

Ukraine has been building the defenses of Bakhmut for 8 years it's the linchpin of Ukraine. By many estimates it was one of the most militarily fortified positions on the planet...

And Russia just took it..."

Bs then and still bs.

More now from you.

It's beginning to look like a pattern.

Gortex, Back on topic. I get the gist of your post and I for one appreciate it. To see an act of compassion in a war zone, is always nice. Good share on your part. It's sad that this post gets overlooked. It's human nature for so many in this world today. Would rather have seen this Russian executed so that the Putin apologist could go 'see?', just to justify the invasion and run the 'nazi' dead horse further in the ground and for others their blood lust satisfaction. Then this post would be the most active. Sad world indeed.

This reminds me of those vids with very attractive young Ukrainian Vogue models at the front lines. Seemed legit that. The ones with Russians driving into Ukrainian positions in their tanks to surrender to them was so amateurish and badly done it would have been hilarious, if not for the fact there is a real war going on.

Truth is the first casualty of war.

Most soldiers have not lost their humanity, will treat the beaten enemy with dignity and respect.

This only comes undone when the soldiers have been taught to hate and distrust the enemy, to such a degree that casual disregard for a beaten foe is manifest in mistreatment. There are many examples of this, including reports of Russian troops brutalising and murdering Ukrainian POWs.

Guy just wanted to survive as opposed to the alternative.

Well done for coming to his senses and choosing life as opposed to war and death.

This talk of "war pigs" and I see no mention of the main aggressor here. AMERICA. zelensky and putin were ready to sign peace agreement like 2 months into this b.s. but U.s. sent Boris Johnson in to say f that you're fighting till we say ur done fighting. This would have been a cakewalk if Amerca didn't gamble with its own economy and dump $100bils into a country on otheside of the world that not many citizens care about nor knew we had been instigating resigme change in for a decade already. The all the videos of McConnell and McCain and Newland all pledging US backing and support no matter what.

Once again the "world's peace keeper" is murdering 100ks of more people in yet another attempt at "regime change" but this times the experiment would be let's try to do it without visibly sending our military to do but fund someone else to do it for us.

We all know how this goes. If we succeed the people in the country with toppled "dictator" are going to be worse off than before intervention.

America needs to mind its own fing business and stay in our own hemisphere.

But one problem our "leaders" would lose their cash cow. The funneling back of Tax dollars to their own accts from Ukraine is too delicious to cut off for those on the gravy train. $$$ is why this started circa 2008 and $$ is why it hasn't stopped. Just sick to see what America Is now. Unrecognizable from the country of Ww1 and Ww2 promotes death destruction evil and greed. Destroy ur own citizens so the elite become super wealthy. Suffering of a populace or world means nothing when u live in an ivory tower protected by walls and tax payer funded security.

1. Only warped and broken logic pronounces that the US are the aggressor, when it is Russia who started this war, is occupying territory and is doing the killing and destruction.
2. Ukraine has never looked at a peace deal with Russia that cedes territory. Not two months after the start of the Russian invasion, or today. Please prove me wrong. Bottom line, peace will return when Russia withdraws from Ukrainian territory - this has been the position of Ukraine.

America did not attack Ukraine and occupy parts of their nation Russia on the other hand did and are indeed in the wrong postcode.

Some proof to back up that claim might be nice.
