I have a politically incorrect question:

If this a direct example of replacement theory?

i see the Republican strategy here, you bus in tons of immigrants to cause disruption in the city they cant handle, as a result the voters turn against Democrat polices and they convert to the Republican side. dirty but kinda smart strategy.

Oh, you mean live with the policies you support and vote for instead of making others live with your choices?

i mean that's how winner takes all works, we dont use proportional voting, so what does that even mean?

Democrats are the ones who advocate loudest for it; don't you think they should understand fully what it is they advocate for?

Most of the time, they advocate for things that never directly impact them because it makes them feel good and other people suffer the impacts. By sending the illegals there, to the advertised sanctuaries, they have to either practice what they preach or reveal themselves as hypocrites, but either way, they realize the full impacts of what they advocate for. This the reality of life in a border state.

its still petty and dirty politics.

This angle is kinda heartless to me. It bugs me. Outrage is being grown. Its like singling out 20 homeless Veterans, out of 38,000, to use an unfair housing setback (they're more than accustomed to) as leverage against attitudes towards illegals and further 'demonize' democrat policies now in place.

Yes, it's VERY screwed up they valued the illegals more than vets, but this angle uses them. Homeless vets are use to being kicked around society. People only care when it's convenient. Importance equals what it has done for you lately.

The hatred for the left comes off as as more important than these people's actual plight. Like, "Oh good, we have something else to use!"

There are another 38,000 homeless veterans on American streets. 10,200 of them end up on California streets because we are the most hospitable place for the other 49 states to send the violent ones they are sick of dealing with. Many vets with PTSD and schizo-affective tendencies end their run here.

During Covid, the city i live in converted unused convention space to massive homeless shelters. Including one of just vets, several hundred at one point. Once covid ended, and conventions returned, many were kicked right back to the street. Many, not even in California more than 18 months when that happened.

No one gave a damn. Kicked them out for Comic-Con. So while the article says it is concerned with homeless veterans, I feel it has some obvious underlying reason for choosing to care, this time.

And yes, I am also using homeless vets as political leverage. Annoying, isn't it?

So, let me explain. The Democrats in the BLUE States vote for amnesty and open borders as long as THEY don't have to deal with it and someone else say like in Texas has to deal with it. When they have to deal with the fallout of their choices, it is a crisis!

This thread is heart-breaking. Got nothing more to say about it other then there isn't a damn thing we can do about it.

Shall we also point out Adam's is trying to shuttle these "immigrants" off to other counties? Especially Republican ones in NY. More of those than most of you think. See its bad when R does it to D, but when D does it to R its business as usual. See the difference with the ones shuttled here from Texas! So Adam's is willing to sacrifice the vets in his city because the D in the federal level have not done a thing to assist. Because democrats care

The outrage should be because there is an overabundance of homeless veterans.

Not any more than I should restrain my own.

F* if I care what people say or do unless it concerns me directly. As a matter of respect. I just find most media underhanded.

It's just bizarrely sociopathic the way things get used. Whether this or the democrats using transgender people. This isn't about the vets, it's about Bidens border policy and weariness of migrants. It's deceptive because it panders to righteous sensibilities while really being a tail wagging another dog.

It carries a certain Keyser Soze quality that bugs me for a bunch of reasons. Mainly the inauthentic crocodile tears for vets while really being a way to piss people off about immigration.

Just my view. No one gets sequestered who has the tact to convey their point with respect.

A news article or a post about it, if it is true, is no solution. One of the largest drawbacks I see with the internet, is that folk think all they have to do is write a post declaring they don’t support what they consider an injustice, and they have done their part.

In the mean time we are drowning in many injustices because we are not committed to changing the ills of our country. We are only committed to twitting, Facebooking, TikToking and posting.

The long and short of it is this:

The vets were being housed via the money of a nonprofit group that had an agreement with these hotels. The government came along and overbid them, so out the vets went. The government made no provisions for anything to do with rehousing the vets or helping the nonprofit. They simply outbid them to get rid of the illegals.

No one has deeper pockets than government which is why pretty soon no one can afford whatever it is when government steps in to make a thing affordable (see - college and health care for two other examples).

Pretty gross to kick homeless vets out.

It's pretty gross kicking ANYONE homeless out of their temporary housing to simply replace them with other homeless. But beings as they are veterans being booted, who had offered and placed themselves at the mercy of their country's directives, sacrificed health, well being and life to protect their country's interests and protect it's people, it should be a punishable crime to displace them.

From the article at least one of the hotels is denying this is taking place but it shouldn't be too difficult to prove. I'm sure it's about money and the city is paying the hotels handsomely to do this. I can't imagine the fallout will be good for these hotels and it would take a lot of money to make it worth it for what's coming down the line for them.

I don't believe your assessment is a fair characterization of the attitudes towards these types of act from democrats. Personally, I do not look for reasons to demonize their actions. They choose demonic actions and display them with pride. Given the choice, I would much rather have nothing to be angry about.

Letting millions of illegals in with no vetting, shipping them all over the country in the middle of the night, and now displacing veterans to house illegals - this is very upsetting to people who value our nation, its legal citizens, and most of all its veterans. This is shamelessly un-American and purely hateful.

This is taking vote harvesting to a whole new level. Unprecedented villainy and malfeasance that is clearly intended to subvert the American political process is taking place on a daily basis. This must be brought to an end and these illegals should, under no circumstances, be allowed to vote in US elections.

That’s NY for you. Spit on the vets and hand the illegal immigrants checks, food, housing,…etc.

I live in Upstate NY and our county executive declared a state of emergency to prevent them from being sent here. I was surprised because he's a Democrat. I'm pleased though.
I wonder how it will play out. One of the things stated was that any hotel housing any of these illegals will be penalized. I can't find the video now, but I think it was stated that they could be fined and possibly closed. I'm trying to find it again to see if I did remember correctly.
Now I just saw a different one where the commenters were saying the county executive was all about bringing Ukrainian refugees here. I didn't remember that. Then again, my news consumption is not very consistent. Also, we have a large amount of Ukrainians in the area already. Can't walk very far without seeing Ukrainian flags everywhere!

Ok, yeah, a fine of not more than $2000 per illegal immigrant, plus shut down of hotel, plus whoever admits the immigrant will receive a class D misdemeanor.
I'd post the news video, but I don't like showing where I live.

It doesn't matter.

We don't matter.

We are just chaff to the machine.

Made to be the monsters that are needed.

To be discarded when politically expedient.

You think this is the hotel's fault? So, which hotel chain is going to be blamed for this?

Read Me Here

Seems the homeless people were payed to pose as veterans for this story. *shakes head*

There is no too low for some people if it's for a political agenda. This is shameless, paying homeless people to pretend to be veterans. Giving them $200 they simply can't refuse, living on the streets.

For what? To get people more angry? To get them to attack someone they're angry with?

Shameless.

This is false. Debunked. Numerous verifiable sources to see for yourself. Not only false, people were paid to pretend to be homeless vets.
