Banning Members

I'll make this short. It has been my experience that, when members are banned, for any reason, the ban is permanent.

Please tell me why this site doesn't practice ban policies other social media sites utilize. Why can you not implement bans less drastic than just banning someone outright and implement a time restricted, temporary ban policy? One, 2 or 3 day, or week bans rather than permanent?

I suspect many members worthy of continued participation have left this site entirely because of these totally rigid ban policies.

I can attest to the fact that I personally watched two members get reinstated today. Email the site and discuss it with them.

They do have temporary posting bans.
But I mean if ya really step out of line somehow then ya I probably wouldn't give them the opportunity to do it again.
Hense why some get banned outright...or so I imagine that's how it goes.

There are post bans and other such bans.

When those dont work or depending on severity then the perma bans come

Members tend to ban themselves by their behavior.
Breaking and disregarding the Terms, making threats, spamming.

Post band are temporary. The length varies....each situation is different. Most members return on a few days.

As AM said, even permanent bans can be reversed when the banned person contacts the Owner.

Being a mod for 18+ years, I'd say ATS does not have a rigid ban Policy.
Especially considering other sites and social media.
