It’s likely a Ukro propaganda piece.

Did anyone see the actual “evidence” picture? It shows a really thick steel casing with a hole in the fragmentation warhead lol.

We’re talking about a hypersonic missile that would need to be intercepted at Mach+ speeds.

It’s possible they calculated the intercept trajectory path but rare.

Like Serbia when they took down a F-117A Nighthawk Stealth fighter in 99’.

Either way, it’s most likely a Ukro propaganda piece . As they need any type of positive news with days leading up to the official fall of Bakhmut (well over 90% now in RU control) and Russias May 9th V-Day.

Rare? We've got the Airborne Early Warning & Control Force flying around 24/7 to do just that.
...and I might add: very successful for decades.
It's not rare, they're just doing their job :-)

Not to mention that software in the missiles can be changed to account for changed target characteristics ... like how fast it is moving.

All of the US guided launch systems use a variation of the same telemetry system that is responsible for guidance, tracking and geolocation. I can personally attest that in the last 10 years there have been 3 upgrades to those systems with the 4th commencing in the next year.

With all the focus on who's 'winning' in Ukraine, some very important events are going unreported on. Pieces are moving on the war chessboard, with few conversation on what the repercussions are going to be.

Ukraine are small fish in the bigger picture, IMO.

May 7, 2023: On May 5, 2023, Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov met with Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor, Qin Gang, in Goa, India to discuss global cooperation across SCO, G20, BRICS, and the United Nations; to stop global control by small, but powerful interest groups or nations; to safeguard the common interests of emerging nations; and to uphold international fairness and justice.

This was Ukraine faking up the news story of them shooting down the Russian missile.

Similar to how Ukraine shoot down their own drone just recently.

Russia IS defeating NATO as far as I'm concerned. They are prepared for fighting conventional armies and have a far larger army and have shown what a conventional war is actually like with modern technology. We have an air force that would not do very much against Russia's setup network of anti air, nor is it large enough to win even if it could, we are designed for fighting insurgencies... Not modem militaries while they have been preparing for against us the entire time

That’s hilarious, or maybe just delusional… depends on how you look at it I suppose.

Truth be told this war could have been over before it started. All the NATO countries had to do was put troops on the ground in Ukraine when it was clear Russia was going to invade and Putin wouldn’t have even dared gone though with it.

To be honest, seems to me the only reason this war is occurring is because there was an invested interest in giving Russia just enough rope to hang themselves.

lol, this war is going to put Russia on its knees. Kinda sucks Ukraine had to be the bait… but nevertheless the west will win this conflict unscathed.

Let me guess, you just watch the msm. Russia is handily winning, it isn't even close. 20k dead. Ukraine over 100k. (So says disinterested 3rd party Mossad) That's what you get for being able to fire 10x the amount of artillery.

I agree that the Wagner group rightly got smoked by the US forces in that video you embedded, and it's right that it happened under the circumstances. But bear in mind that the Russians did have air assets in the area, which were not permitted to take off & join the fray. If they had been permitted to do so, the battle would not have been so one-sided. As it went, the Americans totally dominated a bunch of mercenaries carrying nothing more than assault rifles, with an array of powerful air & ground based assets. It's hardly one to be proud of, in my estimation. It's like gloating over the schoolyward bully beating up the disabled albino kid who cries when watching the Little Mermaid. I think the Russians would have given the Americans a fairly good fight if the firepower had been more evenly distributed on the battlefield.

Not saying that I support the Russians over the Americans, plainly I'm Anglo-American so technically I root for the guys in the home team. However, those in charge of the home team cannot be trusted to wage warfare with even a shred of honour or even common decency these days, so I don't take pride in seeing the outcomes of grossly unfair or corrupt warfighting, including in respect of the support for Ukraine at present.

In my opinion we are already dealing with insurgency at many different levels. Anyway, it would not be conventional to start off with the Chinese had said long ago they would need to start slow and take the US with "advanced methods" if they wish to succeed.

The United States is already crumbling from the inside and dealing with coordinated attacks all over the place (railways, boarder infiltration, mass casualty events to erode individual liberties etc) for years and recently seeing an increase in activity.

Yeah, there is a hot war in Ukraine that everyone is so focused on but cannot see the silent war being waged full on inside their own lands. It does not have to be conventional. This is a new generation of warfare. Psychological, economical and so on. The full on text book Marxism

Well Russia currently occupies more than 20% of Ukraine and NATO can't seem to do anything to evict them. It doesn't sound like Russia is loosing, in fact it would seem the opposite is true if you are to believe the numbers of Ukranian casualties that were "leaked" from the pentagon a few weeks back.

I've been saying for months roughly 8 Ukranians are killed in combat for every Russian casualty. That document confirms this. How you all justify this as Russia is losing is beyond me.

Ukrainians soldiers are showing incredible bravery in the face of overwhelming odds. But they are still being decimated and we all should be upset our elected officials have done nothing to promote a peaceful resolution to this. But rather they have poured more fuel on the fire by aligning with extremists.

Just like when the American government aligned with Iranian contrast, African boko haram, Afghanistan al queda, and Syrian sectarian death squads. We're doing it again in Ukraine this time with nazis.

We have no business being involved in any of these conflicts...

What is hilarious is the attempt by some to use the conspiracy angle to add credence to their fraud. It’s laughable. Russia are winning? Really? They’ve pretty much been humiliated at every turn. It’s going to get a lot worse. It’s all stupid of course. If Putin was half the man he claims to be he would admit his mistake and withdraw from Ukraine, before he is irrevocably damaged. He could save face by twisting the truth a bit - he may have to soon.

Evidently Medvedev isn't too up on Russian history; officially, roughly 8.6 million Soviet military died during WWII (that doesn't include another 14 million or so civilians). Dmitry also fails to mention that the SU and Nazi Germany signed a pact dividing up Poland and part of Rumania at the beginning of the war, and that before the war the SU trade resources with NG as well as helped to train NG's army. Well done, Uncle Joe.

As to the claim that Ukraine's announcement of the shooting down of the hypersonic missile is just fake propaganda, what have you to say about Russia's claim about those mini-drones popping off over the Kremlin being an assassination attempt against Putin by Ukraine?

Moreover, I'd imagine the the fairly late-model Patriot missiles sent to the Ukraine, in conjunction with the recent deployment of the new mobile air defense system (forget its name), also sent by the US, would likely be up to the task of taking out Russia's current hypersonic missiles. That is what they're meant to do after all.

From what I've seen, read and heard, Ukraine has had a much better record of accurate announcements concerning the war than Russia has. Sure, Ukr make mistakes sometimes, and certainly doesn't tell all, but it has a much better reputation for veracity than Putin's Russia.
