The Republicans are choosing a battle they can't win and putting it at center stage of their 2024 election platform. Big mistake for them.

Truth is Republicans could never hope to win on this culture war front and it can only shed support.

Republicans can never hope to win on this topic because all social and traditional media have signed up to the new Gender Fluidic fad that is going around. Fads only die out in their own time; not because Granpa makes a stink about it .... making Granpa angry is part of what drives Fads in the first place. Want to de-power the Gender Fluidic fad? Have top Republicans start dressing in Drag; you'll see how quickly Drag stops being "cool".

Because Republicans can never hope to gain ground on the topic; than it can only help to shed votes amongst independents.

Yes, yes I know your trying to protect children. You can't protect children if you can't win elections.

Do you have any numbers that might support your theory?

Most of the Republicans I know are all for this. They are sick and tired of the "woke" BS and glad to see someone finally growing a pair and doing something about it.

Yes, it is true fads die out over time, but just like with this one, it doesn't hurt to have things set in motion to start slowing it down.

On Wednesday, Florida Gov. Ron Desantis, signed in a sweeping education bill that the left is calling racist and transphobic.

www.foxnews.com...

The first portion prevents staffers and students from being required to use "preferred pronouns". Not a bad idea, considering there are some states that want to make it a criminal offense to not refer to someone in their "preferred pronouns".

Then we move on to banning schools from teaching gender identity and sexual orientation up to the 8th grade. It also allows challenges against school books that critics argue are inappropriate for children. The idea, according to supporters, is to protect children from sexualized content.

We've hit on the "transphobic" topics, now on to the so called "racist" aspect,

The House bans colleges from using state or federal funds for developing or promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs. Citing them to be racially divisive.

Long live Florida!
Long live Desantis!

Teaching social engineering is easy and subjective. Teaching those other things is hard and can be measured with objective results.

Most of the Republicans you know plan to vote Republican no matter what I assume. Is the Trans issue really the make or break for them to get out the vote? Who did these Republicans you know vote for in 2020, and did that person win the election?

While its clear that the Republicans are trying to court the vote of and energies the Republicans you know ... is that really a winning strategy? Do the Republicans you know plan to vote for Democrats if the trans issue isn't fought tooth and nail? Because I guarantee that there is a large group of independents who plan to vote Democrat because they don't like the propaganda they hear about Republicans on this issue.

Putting food on my table, gas in tank, etc, is how I plan to vote.

Anyone who votes on the trans hill is either a zealot or way richer then I am ... or a moron.

That's how it use to work in the old world order.

We live in the new world order when democracy is only a success when a cabal pick someone, and another cabal counts the votes, and another cabal supress's any point of view contrary to the party line.

We've been done assimilated.

Agreed.

So why are Republicans making the Trans issue such an important part of their strategy? And seem to hardly talk about putting food on your table and gas in your tank?

Occurs they did, what do you expect from the party that allows and encourage child mutilations and procedures on toddlers because parent think they are trans.

We need common sense in politics.

The economy, right to life, 2A, secure borders, protecting children. Most who vote R are not single issue voters. I'd think most independent voters are not single issue voters. While most people have inviolate issues, lines that they will not cross, it is generally a multitude of factors that figure into their vote.

Maybe because a whole generation is going to be mutilated in the name of liberal ideologies, did you ever think about that.

The only phobia I see is the progressive left in fear of not forcing everyone to their 2+2=5 social constructs.

Democrats don't talk about it either. They just talk about hating everyone who doesn't love them.

Oh, and this independent isn't voting for the progressive agenda. Republicans suck, but Democrats have damn near destroyed the country.

The whole generation? Every single child under the age of 16 are being rounded up and brought to a gender tradition clinics by cattle car to be medically castrated? All of them? Have these gender Nazi's tried to pick up your kids yet? Cause I haven't seen them come for mine.

Yup I thought of that and I dismissed it as the crazy ramblings found on an online community.

If this is the only thing that is making them vote Dem, they are sorely misinformed on what the left has done since 2020.

Ok ... and Republicans still loose the election.

How does that moral high ground feel when you don't have the power to do anything with it?

And there are a large number of Independents that don’t plan to vote D or R, if Biden or Trump is their only option.

Of course Democrats don't want to talk about "food on table" issues; they loose the election if they do.

Democrats would much rather talk about how "Republicans are banning books" and how "Republicans hate Trans people" because that does win them elections.

What I don't understand is why Republicans also want to talk about the books they want to ban and the Trans people they dislike... when they could be talking about "food on table" issues.
