The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

You can be nice, have a different opinion and state it. You don't have to be a "yes man" to be nice.

It's not as easy as being rude, specially when the other side of a discussion is also rude, but it's possible, and, like rudeness, is contagious, if you are nice the other people tend to be nice also.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

True, but with some on here you can be nice and still get ranted at and accused of all sorts!

Some folk are just nasty. Just like in RL.

That's why a "politeness rule" is important, as thanks to it those people are more likely to be banned.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.
