The U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy is highlighting some old studies about "Loneliness" being a problem for people and how it may compare healthwise to smoking half a pack of cigs a day!!

Apparently they are declaring this a new public health epidemic !!?

Wonder why they are emphasizing this now all-of-a-sudden?

What is the hidden "point" or "target" ?

What is the government (or their friends) up to now?

The article seems to be aiming at "Healthcare COSTS" !! 😀

Loneliness poses risks as deadly as smoking: surgeon general

The U.S. surgeon general says loneliness poses health risks as deadly as smoking a dozen cigarettes daily, costing the health industry billions of dollars annually

Widespread loneliness in the U.S. poses health risks as deadly as smoking up to a dozen cigarettes daily, costing the health industry billions of dollars annually, the U.S. surgeon general said Tuesday in declaring the latest public health epidemic.

About half of U.S. adults say they’ve experienced loneliness, Dr. Vivek Murthy said in an 81-page report from his office.

“We now know that loneliness is a common feeling that many people experience. It's like hunger or thirst. It's a feeling the body sends us when something we need for survival is missing,” Murthy told The Associated Press in an interview. “Millions of people in America are struggling in the shadows, and that's not right. That's why I issued this advisory to pull back the curtain on a struggle that too many people are experiencing.”

My take on the mental health emphasis is to eliminate any shame for getting occasional help to overcome feelings or circumstances in ones' day-to-day struggle....but that's just step one.....

A few years down the road anyone who has had mental health counseling, or been on anti-depressants or ADHA meds, used MJ, been 'red flag' lawed', is on a no-fly list will be excluded from legally owning a firearm. They're just widening the net.

Lonely people most of all don't have to waste time beging bothered by the banalities of others. Thanks to the internet we loners can communicate our ideas without the whole social dance.
And moddufugga we're dangerous, independent, harder to control, the stray sheep.
Assimilate or die

I hear one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do.

Two can be as bad as one.

It's the loneliest number since the number one.

Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached...

Truth be told:

I haven't had, or sought out, a relationship in 12 years.

Do you realize how drama free my life has been? You only get so many years, why waste them carrying around other people's junk??

My life, for me, is so much more than dealing with the complexities of people that have a 70% chance of being on some sort of psych medication. I'd say 8 out of 10 people wouldn't tell you if they were, but I'm speculating obviously.

I'm open to the idea but I'm not by any means seeking it out or feel the need for it.

ETA: I'm not in the least bit lonely at all and none any of my decisions are negotiable or compromised by outside input or factors.
It's freaking wonderful.

So is Pfizer releasing sex robots now?

Create profitable solution, engineer problem.

Calling it health care means your insurance will help cover the cost of the now 100x inflated cost, but only if you upgrade your insurance plan!

What a whole bunch of crap this man is a good for nothing, the biggest danger to society and the mental health of individuals is the mutilation of children in the name of gender equality, because now gender is a fashion.

upon further reflection, if you cannot be happy with yourself when you are alone how can you ever hope to be happy with a family because you are not happy with you. (hope that makes sense)
