I've been there probably more often than you and live not that far away.

...people saying the police are being too violent there is a reason and it isn’t from a little tap on the shoulder!

Still a huge stretch to 'killing people' don't you think?

How do you know? I lived not even an hour away most of my childhood and teen years, which is why
I still have friends in the region.

No because I know things are unreported. Perhaps the police bopped someone on the head and they later died as a result.
Word travels locally and a lot of those stories don't make headlines, which is why I believe my friend that actually lives there in that country, and up until a few weeks ago living in Paris. That's as local as it gets. You think everytime the police kill somone it gets reported?

I find it incredulous that someone on a conspiracy site only believes things with "sources" and not the underbelly which often times is what is actually the truth.

If I recall correctly you live in Germany or a bordering country. When I lived in that region that was as different as us living in different states. Being close is not the same. I live in Wisconsin and just a thin line separates us from Illinois and I can tell you we might as well be on mars it is so different. Even the people dress different, look different, think different.

Come on, please.
Just because I am on a conspiracy site I don't have to believe everything our gossip loving aunt sensationalism (that's you) says.

I'd assume things have changed a lot since you were a child with open borders and all.

Yes I assume that too which is why I rely on people that actually live there, not near there, not visit there, but LIVE THERE.

I DO love gossip, and I AM an aunt, as far as sensationlism, that is only what people say when they are too narrow minded to believe things before it's on CNN.

You know like, Covid came from China, or that there are UFO, or that weather can be controlled, or that the Vax may be dangerous or a thousand other things that have been proven over and over and over.

Some people need things spoon fed to them and then checked, double checked, and the nightly news to tell them what to believe. Sorry hun, but I ain't one of those Peeple!

But let me help you out.

PARIS

The casualties from the use of pepper spray by the French police during Yellow Vest protests has risen, local media reported Friday.

According to French Mediapart website, 11 people were killed, five lost their hands due to use of grenades and 23 lost their eyesight.

Some 2,000 people were injured at the demonstrations. Of them 268 people suffered head injuries, 15 hand injuries, 64 body injuries, 26 back injuries and 106 leg injuries.

In addition, 95 journalists, 40 high school students and 30 volunteer health officers were injured in the demonstrations and 145 acts of insult and violation of press freedom by French police were recorded.

French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said the National Police Investigation Unit (IGPN) launched 220 criminal investigations on suspicion of police violence against the demonstrations.

That was from the yellow vest protest. What do you want to bet those deaths were NOT on the news, weren't reported as they were happening. Does that mean that they didn't happen, of course not. It just means the data wasn't out yet. Just like the data for these riots aren't out yet. See how that works. BUT, guess who knew of those deaths, people that lived there!!!

Also I wasn't talking massacres, but I was talking police brutality and deaths, as we can see from above this is nothing new and that is a very recent example!

OMG that was cute. I read your threads you know. If I tell you the police killed nobody you should believe me.
You calling me narrow minded is just further evidence how utterly clueless you are.
But please I invite you to have the last word.
Amuse me.

Clueless, why because I believe a friend and what he says over what someone that kinda lives close says. Ok whatever.
I even showed you how in a recent protest many were KILLED, but like they say
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink 🤣

Did you read this part???? Or just gloss over it?
Guess what Police are doing in these protests, nevermind, you aren’t good at guessing so I’ll tell you. They are using pepper spray!
Somehow you think the outcome would be different?

Interesting the disagreement on actual factual events.
Those pushing the disinformation will have it removed now, right?

Good.

To hell with the scumbag riot police, Macron and his EU overlords.

France is in desperate need of a change in leadership.

Some believe the police are simply tickling the protesters and it’s not an issue.
I’m with you! To hell with them, Macron and the whole lot!

I’ve heard people say that the French has a generous retirement, good benefits yada yada yada.
You know why! Because they are willing to fight for them and to keep them!

Are the topic of this thread the Yellow Vests protests, or is it the may day protest?
Think hard. Or better scroll the internet for your next piece of sensationalist outrage, because I doubt you can jump that high, pony.

I guess you don’t believe we can use previous examples to current events?
Also the yellow vest protest are in essence a continuation of the protests going on now. The people of France want economic justice, be that fuel prices, high taxes, or the pushing of retirement age. We can try to separate them but the people of France are really just trying to live!

PS. I know you need solid proof before you believe anything but Yellowvest protests are actually part of May Day, but if you lived close you would actually know that wouldn’t you????

The firm notes that labor unions are planning mass demonstrations on May 1 to mark International Workers’ Day. These are the planned demonstration events in Paris on May 1, which “are likely to attract tens of thousands of attendees,” according to Crisis24:

Yellow Vest movement demonstrations: Antigovernment Yellow Vest protesters plan to gather at 9:30 a.m. (local time) at Place de la Porte de Vanves, then march to Place Henri Langlois, and again at 3 p.m. (local time) at Porte de Clignancourt, then march to Place Pigalle.

Better end soon! I'm taking my kids and staying on the left bank St Germaine in exactly a month. If this crap is still going on I'm not sure what it will be like.

I have family that will be there soon too, which is why I’ve been following this like crazy.
My friend said for the most part the protests were isolated but he was very concerned about the violence and literally said the “police killing the protesters”. He is not one to exaggerate and was actually trying to assure me it was safe to visit.

One thing you might want to be aware of is that some modes of travel have been interrupted. There was a small protest at the airport. Some transport workers are protesting. Always have a backup plan! The link I provided above shows how some transit could be impacted.

No. Your quote is still not from this protest.
Even If the Yellow Vests participated in this protest too.

Yes…. And…?? Nowhere did I say it was from this protest. What are you going on about?
I said that happened previously, and the deaths weren’t reported right away, they were reported AFTER! Just like any deaths happening now will likely come out in a few months. Maybe in August, there will be a nice quote for you saying
“May Day riots results in 5 deaths from police brutality”. And then, only then will you believe!

Maybe yes.
The sad part there will be no such quote and you will forever believe “May Day riots results in 5 deaths from police brutality" even If it really didn't happen.

That would be wonderful if there are truly no deaths, but I’m not that naive. I also know riots are still happening, this is a constant moving thing. It doesn’t just start and stop. Things are still being reported.

When the news reports of deaths, I’ll post it and you’ll still deny it or say because you didn’t see it with your own eyes you don’t believe it or some nonsense like that.

The massacre in the streets of French cities continues 🔸There are many wounded on both sides, and rumors of dead (not yet officially confirmed) 🔸At least 550 thousand protesters gathered in the streets of Paris on May Day.
