Free speech or not

I wasn't sure where to post this, I hope this is the right area, check out this article. Is it a free speech issue, or is Apple in the right?

I'm just interested where the line between freedom of speech and a companies right to protect their ideas falls. I understand the issues here and it sure is a sticky situation.
