I didn’t say sunset and sunrise times disprove the shape of the planet. I’m saying they do not prove without a doubt the precise shape of the earth. There could be many possibilities just using sunrise sunset times as evidence.

It shows the sun. Can you tell which one is the actual sun, and which one is a reflection on the glass barrier all around earth?

The glass barrier cannot be penetrated by rockets.

From a tiny little digitalized image, no.

As to a glass barrier all around the earth, some proof of your firmament nonsense might be nice.

Also Sticking a piece of wood in the ground and observing the change of length of the shadow throughout the day can provide evidence that the Earth is a sphere.

Because the angle of the sun changes throughout the day as it moves across the sky.

At noon, when the sun is directly overhead, the shadow cast by the piece of wood will be at its shortest because the sun's rays are hitting the Earth at a right angle, and the shadow is directly below the piece of wood.

As the sun moves lower in the sky, the shadow will lengthen because the sun's rays are now hitting the Earth at an angle and the shadow is being cast at an angle as well.

The longer the shadow, the lower the sun is in the sky, If the Earth were flat, the length of the shadow would be the same at all points on the Earth's surface, regardless of the time of day or the angle of the sun.

However, because the length of the shadow changes throughout the day, it suggests that the Earth is curved.

And you did put your trust in a Nazi who said those rockets were the first to reach space. They did not penetrate the glass barrier which is probably close to 60 miles high all around earth.

All they need is a lolly pop stick buddy, a clear sky, and a little time to observe the length of the shadow cast on the thing change throughout the afternoon to determine the shape of the planet.

These globe deniers pop up every month talking absolute nonsense without even bothering to test the premise of the crap they come away with.

Have to admit this loonballs "Bell end Earth" tripe is a new one for me, but its just a variation on the guff the rest of them punt.

Yes meteorites are being fired on a regular basis, usually in remote locations. I estimate from around 30 miles altitude. They serve as excellent fertilizer.

An estimate of the weight of the glass can be found in the Libyan desert.

Estimate 2000 tonnes shattered across 2000 square miles.

Assume the one time explosion of Heaven was caused by too much pressure from CO2.

Assume the explosion originated from 1 square mile and blew an oval shape of glass about 80 by 30 miles.

So estimate is 2000 tonnes of glass per square mile. This is probably an underestimate.

Have you ever made a dry ice bomb using a glass container? I did once and the glass blew up into such fine pieces that I could find no remnants of glass.

That does not make even one ounce of sense.

We see the sunrise and sunset because of Earth's rotation about its own axis.

And the planet is rotating about its own axis from West to East as to where its going well that would be in an orbit around the parent star, aka the sun.

I live in the UK so would it be Ireland that launches meteors over the UK, as I dont imagine they can be fired very far using normal propulsion methods, where is the canon hidden?

Radius of earth just under 4000miles

using the following link

4 x 3.142 x 4000 (squared) = 201061930 squared

then using your estimation of 2000tonnes per square mile

201061930 x 2000 = 402,123,860,000 tonnes

You can only prove the earth is spherical in shape from east west, using the sun. You can’t prove it’s shape north south using the sun.

The sun does not travel north to south InachMarbank it rises in the east and sets in the west, but both the rise and setting of such are displaced towards the north in midsummer and the south in midwinter.

As to what can cause an image of 2 suns, well need i explain to you how a mirage happens?

The short version is its a naturally-occurring optical phenomenon that involves light rays bending via refraction to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky.
