You shouldn’t bend over, it puts pressure on the eyeballs, so stay away from Masonicus for a few weeks.

DB asked me to update everyone. The operation was a miserable failure and he is now legally blind in both eyes. He is asking for help around the house, particularly with bathing as he cannot properly employ his washcloth on a stick due to the lack of eyesight. No wild parties for a few days, dude!!!!

Just a recap over the last few days. . . .

Tuesday evening my bride and I stayed the night at a local hotel (The Sentinel) and dined at Jakes. My quack of a doctor demanded that I not partake in alcoholic beverages 48 hours prior to surgery so I had to actually stay sober. My wife mocked me endlessly.

That was the last meal I could have since I could not smoke, eat, drink prior to the operation.

Wednesday morning we arrived at 0600 and was promptly checked in. After a series of eye drops, visits from nurses, anesthesia, and my doc, I was wheeled into the OR by 0800. They draped me and all I could see was 3 lights.

I wanted to say, "NO! There are 4 LIGHTS" but I don't think they get into Star Trek humor right before surgery.

I was snowed quite quickly by anesthesia and before I knew it was being wheeled back into recovery and the loving arms of my bride.

By 1000 I was checked out and on my way home via Gunther and his ever-present opium pipe and rickshaw.

Since then it's been eye drops all the time, and just healing and resting. Being sober for 3 days took a lot out of me.

But I do see better now so YAY!

It was a Masonic implant, so now I have an "all seeing eye".
