I am sorry Sookie. I too was abused but not sexually. I was a step child on a farm and the people there were very mean to me, then when I moved away with mom and my siblings I was a total mess of a child from the trauma. I was VERY GLAD mom caught them in the act and left as soon as she possibly could. I have tears on my face now typing it.... Blessings and please for the love of the little child we were not allowed to be by the adults in our world, do not forsake the children by not seeing the big pictures involving them as you do here day after day. I am 100% for stopping the evil crap that happens to children.

Good move, suprised to hear it wasn't already in place and may be unconstitutional.

I'm strongly against the principle of the death penalty but vehemently support it for Paedos.

Any Rape forced on a child is a criminal offense in my books, regardless if the victim survives of die, I propose hanging the sex offended by their genitals in the town square first, then executing with public viewing.

I am sure that the rest of the closet offenders in the state will run away like the cockroaches they are.

You can prod and beat an adult to a pulp... I probably wouldn't wish death upon you. Adults have lived. We're not innocent. We most likely deserve that bloody beating in some fashion at some point in our lives. None are innocent and we're all probably just as guilty as anyone else based on the stuff that we allow ourselves to think about.

No matter how cruel you are to anyone, there is nothing, nothing at all that compares to the innocence of a child. When you harm a child.. hurt a child.. make that child cry for any reason, you're destroying, raping even, innocence. Once it's gone... It's gone forever.

So I say again... Anyone who abuse children or make them suffer should be met with an excruciating death. No question.


Nothing affects me the way a child hurting affects me. It shatters my heart into billions of pieces. Nothing else comes even close.

Oh, wow, ok, that all makes a lot more sense now, thanks. Kudos to your sister for being strong enough to handle the situation like that, and to you all for helping that poor little girl out.

My sister is an amazing woman and although she's my younger sister, I really look up to her in so many ways. She isn't one for conflicts and avoids them whenever possible; but when she does take a stand, she's rock solid and quite formidable!

I have two daughters, 8 and 5, and I just ... can't ... imagine ... my mind starts going bonkers when I think about someone doing something like that to a child. Old man or not, ...

Well, anyway, glad to hear it had a happier ending than some do.

That's the best and final takeaway -- it had a happier ending than so many others do. It never should have happened, but it did, and we are thankful it wasn't worse.

Seeing the amount of hate and cheering in this thread, makes me not believe in humanity anymore. Of course, there are sick people out there, who do terrible things. That does not mean, they deserve death. Everybody deserves life, whatever they have done. Death penalty is an ancient relic, a barbaric practice, which should not be part of the modern society.
