Medvedev sounds like a bit of a prick to be honest.

I once gave quite a lot of credence to what Russia was contributing on the geopolitical stage - particularly when they served ISIS's ass to them on a silver platter in Syria.

But then, oddly, I had a dream in which it was communicated to me that as a British person, it was best not to get too close to Russia in terms of giving them the psychological credence of my own impressions of them, because (& this was weird) they have a different psychological make-up when compared with the average Brit, and unfortunately, we're just not built to get along very well - our psychological background & constitution, our history & such, is simply too different for us to get along as friends - cordial neighbourliness is the best we should expect of each other. I was shown that it's dangerous to pay them too much attention as friends, and it was better to stay close to the Anglo-American side of the line, because my psychological make-up is far more attuned to the positive aspects of that system of morals, decorum, culture, etc.

Interesting dream, stopped me digging too much into the likes of RT television news & special reports, understanding the propaganda could well turn me against my own people if I wasn't careful. Thought it might be worth sharing, I've never mentioned that dream here before. And I tend to share my important seeming dreams, usually.

One thing I will give them credit for, is that there seems to be a genuine revival of (Orthodox Eastern) Christianity in that nation, so it will be interesting to see where that takes them over time.

Cheers,

FITO.

But you could stand against him by fighting with the Ukrainians.

The only battle I've been involved in was a Battle of the Bands in the 90s , not sure my knees are up to warfare these days.

Oh well then, you're already a veteran!

Given the fact that the Russians stole washing machines from Ukrainian houses, don't have a domestic microchip industry worth a damn and are now unboxing T-55 tanks to send into Ukraine, I trust their claims of super-hyper-mega weapons about as much as I trusted anything that came from the mouth of Boris Johnson or Comical Ali. IE: not a dickie bird.
Medvedev sounds as if he's jealous of our weather and is drunk again. Bless, someone tuck him up in bed and call his minder.

You forgot shovels!

All is well. We can relax and stop sending billions to the gopher Zelensky (that pops his head up every week after a strike)

And to one of the most corrupted countries in the world (we are talking about Ukraine here)

The constant meat grinder, while Russia is constantly gaining territory/advancing is nothing to see here.

Is Russia out of missiles yet?

Cope harder.

Is glorious Russian victory yet? Has Bakhmut fallen?

Is Russia not one of the most corrupt countries in the World?

Y'know, it's amazing, I've seen this and other claims by the msm over the last 6 months. The Russians were apparently nearly all out of rations before christmas, extremely low morale, having to recruit little old Agatha and Geraldy with their walking sticks, huge pockets of the army about to surrender at any minute, resorting to using antiquated equipment from 80-100 years ago. Versus Ukraine being provided with the latest and greatest (or near enough) high tech weaponry, equipment, and supplies by the usual war mongers.

That's pretty impressive for Russia to be holding its own using slingshots, bows and arrows on horseback, and a mud diet. I mean, it should be the equivalent of humans vs space faring invincible aliens, yet... it isn't.

Could it be you've been sold a pup yet again by the msm???

Shouldn't a supposed superpower be doing a tad more than "holding its own" after over a year at war?

Sure Britan has its problems, but at least we don't get thrown out of high windows if we publicly disagree with our leaders who cause the problems.

Well, apart from David Kelly who got epsteined..

Hi oldcarpy I am always interested in what you have to say, enjoy the things you post too
You may find this interesting, and perhaps why some, not myself, however, some belive that HARP is causing/ contributing to natural disasters
Like yourself, I much prefer to debate and learn than what many seem to do of late, either love or hate with nothing in between.

Keep up the good work mate

Hiya.

That is interesting but I still don't see how this can cause earthquakes.

Wasn't HAARP shut down a while ago?

Not sure about that tho.

Are you from Bakhmut? You tell me.

Because we all have been seeing here who gained majority control for awhile now and advancing forward.

Soon, you’ll stop in the hamster wheel wondering about it. And move on to the next stage.

And you’ll continue daily, checking out the Russia/Ukraine thread, and see F2d5thCavv2 posting the daily “ISW” updates about the constant Russian territorial/control advancements and put a star on it.

I don't think you are reading the same thread as the rest of us!

Constant what?!!!!

Russia is bogged down, after over a year of grinding attrition.

No, not really. We know that China and North Korea are selling Russia ammunition now, which means that they've run low on what they had stockpiled up from the Cold War, during the days of the Soviet Union. If anything we were told that Russia would win quickly, with their mega-super-hyper missiles and tonnes of T-14s and T-90s and their planes that made anything the West had look tame & lame.
Well, the T-14s and T-90s don't seem to exist in any real numbers, the Ukrainian Air Force still exists, the missiles have either run out or were never that impressive (they're using Iranian drones now, I presume for a lot of money) and Russia's special forces have been gutted,
What Russia did have was a lot of artillery and that's what they used for their advances in 2022. Basically flatten the landscape with high explosive, send the cannon fodder in, occupy, murder any survivors, rinse and repeat. Then the HIMARS arrived, followed by a Ukrainian counter-offensive that freed a huge chunk of the country.
The Russians are now fixated on Bakhmut and the Wagner Group has promised it to Putin, who is allegedly issuing orders about military matters that he doesn't understand to a military that is either relying on mercenaries or is using human wave attacks.
Another Ukrainian counter attack is highly likely once the Mud Season ends. So will have to wait and see.
I can however say this: Putin's plans have all gone wrong in this war. Every damn one of them. He's not a 4-D chess player, he's a blundering thug.

I believe HAARP was indeed shut down, although of course we may never know if it was or wasn't. I think the heating of the atmosphere just before an earth quake is a natural occurrence, which is, by some, interpreted as proof that HAARP is involved I really don't know either way, it is perhaps a good topic of discussion for those of us who hopefully enjoy a discussion here on ATS I fear even ATS has changed a great deal, to the point that many are confrontational long before the enjoyable ability to debate and learn kicks in
Glad you are old school Old harpy

That’s the problem that some people can’t grasp apparently.

Perhaps there was people who had thoughts last year that this situation could of been controlled in rapid succession (kiev in a couple days)

But things evolve. This is a major dynamic situation.

And we should expect adjustments/change and evolutionary processes.

Russia has been adapting in the process. and tightening up defensively more along the front. Getting more organized and entrenching.

If anything the attrition part is more critical ,than the counterproductive scrounging around looking back on “Kiev in 3days”

Getting more organized and entrenching.....really?
The front line seems to be playing out like a Serious Sam computer game horde level.

Before all this Russia was thought to be a superpower, Ukraine should have been a walk in the park for the mighty bear.
Turns out they are no mightier than a crumbling middle eastern dictatorship whose only saving grace is the fact that they have nukes and plenty of assholes who will turn on their own.
